Daughter and I have had our bath and I just had a flash of memory back to the days of watching Bullseye, songs of praise and Howard's way on a Sunday nights.

I even went on YouTube to put a bit of Bully on.. what is it with 6yr olds that don't appreciate old TV?

Inmyownlittlecorner · 03/02/2019 20:12

Galaxy High

Something about Snow White & Prince Charming living in 90’s USA
Gummy bears
Disney film short episodes (Aladdin etc)
Lost in space
The Walton’s
In the evening
Bullseye
Allo Allo
Songs of praise
Last of the summer wine
Any drama about WW2, Bluebell, wish me luck, No Bananas.

The Muppet Show

Then That's Life before bed. My nana used to come over while my dad and granda went to the pub. She always had to go for the bus while it was on.

SheSnapsThenSheFarts · 03/02/2019 20:13

Bullseye, then finish homework. Sunday bath then That's Life, The Professionals or Spitting Image. My parents were quite relaxed about what I watched....

itchychin · 03/02/2019 20:19

In the 70s daytime = university challenge and Benson (anyone remember that?) then yes time emu on bbc (emu broadcasting corporation).

Then dull teenage Sundays = district nurse, Howard’s way, heartbeat.

I don’t remember the muppets being on a Sunday tho!

ManicUnicorn · 03/02/2019 20:28

Last of the Summer Wine
The Darling Buds of May

Bamaluz · 03/02/2019 20:38

The World at War, documentary series on at lunchtime I think.

And then a war film.

My dad was a child in WW2 and followed every programme about it.
I did learn a lot.

There was a series called "Slow Blows the Wind From France" when I was maybe 15yo

And "MacKenzie" anyone remember that?

When I was 18y (in 1984) there was a series on Sunday night that I only got to see one episode of because I was travelling back to work.
"Gentlemen and Players" 2 businessmen who were friends or frenemies and one got the other ones teenage DD pregnant .

Was "Loves and Lives of the She Devil" a Sunday nighter ?

PootlesBobbleHat · 03/02/2019 21:22

Muppets and Robin of Sherwood were Saturday nights along with Knightrider and the A-Team.

Sunday night's were definitely tamer, Last of the Summer Wine, Open All Hours, Antiques Roadshow, Highway etc then a good drama.

Loved Wish Me Luck, House of Elliott, Poirot, Morse.

Hated Howards Way, Bulman, Etc.

I remember That's Life being on a Sunday too. Then bedtime.

wowfudge · 03/02/2019 21:24

Barriers - late afternoon on ITV
