On a daily basis.

I've recently started tracking my water and on average, realised I only drink about 0.5l a day.

“I agree it's harder to drink lots of water when it's cold outside.“
So drink tea.

Mysticbottom · 01/02/2019 13:35

About 2 litres in all, including herbal and fruit teas. I struggle with headaches if I let it drop below that amount. If I'm not vigilant I often pay for it. I haven't drunk enough today so I'm going to have to start drinking lots more soon!

I count the number of cups of water I have in a week. I shoot for 3/4 cups of water every day at least.

JuniLoolaPalooza · 01/02/2019 14:49

I used to drink a lot more but I was a slave to my bladder - had to leave playgrounds etc with the kids cos I needed to go.
I'm drinking far less now (busier) but there are negative side effects for me so trying to up it again.

I drink about a pint of water across the day and about 2 cups of tea. Not enough for me.

2-3 litres a day. Works wonders to keep my skin plumped and glowing. Will also have 2-3 cups of tea.

gobbin · 01/02/2019 15:26

I don’t drink any plain water unless I’m running (in my carry bottle). Not dead yet. I drink probably 8-10 mugs of tea a day, so that’s just undr 3l.

After my last bowel op I had to do a fluid balance and drink 2l daily. That was tough, as I wasn’t allowed any tea. The doc also said that the ‘8 glasses a day’ is a myth and any non-sugary drink is fine.

I do occasionally get dehydrated, if I haven’t had enough tea or coffee during the day and I top up with 400ml of Dioralyte, but this is Crohns related.

MrsJBaptiste · 01/02/2019 16:21

In an average day I drink - 3 litres of plain water, 3 cups of tea, 3 coffees.

If it's a night we're having a drink, you can add a bottle of wine to that but I'm not sure that counts...? 😉

WinterHeatWave · 01/02/2019 16:51

Not enough.
2 -3 pints a day. Trying to get it up to guarantee the 3 pints.
I dont feel thirsty either!

ilovepuppies · 01/02/2019 17:57

Probably about 2.5l - I am very fat though so my body probably needs this amount as standard!

Although now I really notice if I don't have that amount. Tired, groggy and constipated!

coffeeagogo · 01/02/2019 18:28

I drink around 5 litres of waters day - always have been a very thirsty person - first thing in the morning I drink a pint of water and then top up constantly during the day. I have 2 coffees and the rest is water - I don't pee as much as you would think I need to but my body craves water and if I don't drink enough I feel really unwell

BertrandRussell · 01/02/2019 20:23

Can I suggest that all of you very thirsty people just check with their doctor? Probably absolutely fine, but it is a symptom of diabetes.....

PhilomenaButterfly · 02/02/2019 20:09

I just always have a dry mouth. Apparently, it's also a sign of getting older.

itssquidstella · 02/02/2019 20:19

Loads. I'm a teacher, so I'm ridiculously thirsty after every lesson just from talking so much!

PinaColada1 · 04/02/2019 11:07

5 liters?!

coffeeagogo · 07/02/2019 10:12

No diabetes here, I have always been like this. As a child my teacher flagged it up as a concern and was tested regularly but always normal - same as an adult. Found breast feeding really hard as I was ALWAYS thirsty, like insanely dehydrated all the time

PinaColada1 · 08/02/2019 08:44

Fair enough @coffee I must drink more!
