Would you tip the baker for this cake?

NC as pics will out me.

We have a small local bakery that does themed cakes to order. I ordered one for DD's 21st, it was £40 for a ten-inch round, themed on D&D - I left the details up to the baker.

She rang a week before pickup and asked if I'd mind it being rectangular as she'd had a better idea for the design. When I picked it up, it was on an 18" square board, the actual cake was 12"x9" and a two-layer sponge with buttercream so about 3-4" high.

It's so much bigger and better than I expected, and my friend (who makes cakes) said she'd probably expect to pay around £30 for the ingredients alone.

Would it be really weird to pop in and tip the baker a tenner?

Thank you Cakedragon. I always appreciate an update - and I'm glad she was thrilled - it seems that you hit the right note with a card and £20 tip.
