Boy stuck in a well for six days..

This is awful, I can’t believe it hasn’t been more mainstream news? I fear the worst after so long but I hope they reach him.. IOS anyone else following this?

It's been confirmed by El Pais that he has been found dead.

Poor little lad, I feel so sorry for him and his parents. Rest in Peace little one. I'm glad they didn't leave him down there, or his parents would never had been sure. Sounds like they did all they could in such difficult circumstances. :(

Sat here holding one of my children who is a similar age to Julen. How utterly heartbreaking for his poor family. I believe they didn’t hear anything from him shortly after he fell down the mine so I hope that means his end was quick and he didn’t suffer. Poor baby Sad

Can only hope he died soon after the fall. If the hole was blocked further up then there can't have been much oxygen in such a narrow hole.

This is heartbreaking. Spain is a more open country with regards to emotions but reading RTVE reporting on the father screaming “not again” over and over makes me wish I couldn’t understand Spanish. (They lost their other son to a heart attack) I’ve not been so upset by a story in ages. Here in Spain we’ve been following it for two weeks desperately hoping. I just hope that the little one passed within that first half hour when his parents stopped hearing him crying. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Heartbreaking to think of. RIP. I hope they can confirm to his parents that he died very quickly. My heart goes out to them.

He apparently fell 71 metres ‘fast and free’ onto a dirt floor, dislodging soil as he fell hence the plug of substances above him. The well has been sealed with a steel cover and will be filled as soon as possible.
First autopsy results are expected today.

I hope to goodness that it’s determined that he died instantly. The alternative simply doesn’t bear thinking about. :(
