Can anyone help me find this song please?

A song has been annoying me all day, and I cannot for the life of me remember the title. I’ve typed the lyrics in and it’s just coming up with another totally different song, or a nursery rhyme!
All I can remember was that it was in Cold Feet ages and ages ago when I first heard it. It sounds quite a melancholy, sad song. The chorus is ‘Star light, star bright, first star I’ve seen tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might....’! That’s all I can remember , and when I type it into google, Madonna’s Lucky Star comes up!

It was sung by a male voice. Perhaps the artist was the Brothers? If anyone can help me find this song I would be very grateful!

Nope, unfortunately none of them. It had quite a 60s vintage feel to it! I can remember the tune, I wish I could sing it and someone could identify !

Yes it’s just coming up with Disney things / Madonna’s Lucky Star or the nursery rhyme. This is why I can’t find it, normally I type in the lyrics and you find out straight away. This time it’s proving more difficult 😂

Not the theme tune from the americaine “Tenth Kingdom”, a series from the 90s, which is not the same but there are lots of similar songs. Beautiful song I love and have always searched for an audio version.

Oh Cold Feet old series! It was in a segment with Adam and Rachel. I’ve tried sorting through track listings for the soundtrack, but no luck so far ☹️

Those lyrics are from the Music Man...an old musical starring Robert Peston. It's a piano tune and the music teacher sings along to it.

No, not he Supermen Lovers unfortunately. I’m so the artist name was (something I can’t remember) and then Brothers! It was a very romantic but melancholy song. That’s why it has stuck with me
