Dd, nearly 3, is hooked on Peppa. She’s not allowed watch TV during the week, but the Peppa repitition at the weekend is driving me nuts. I quite liked it at the start, but now that we’ve watched every episode 5000 times, I’m inclined towards some nice roast pork.

I’m not in the UK so trying to find acceptable alternatives on YouTube/Netflix. So far she’s said no to that black bunny thing, that thing with the Elves (Ben and someone?) and Paw Patrol. Any other suggestions please? Preferably something that will not make me want to shoot myself in the head immediately. Grin

Thank you in advance

Hey Dugee. I actually quite enjoy it Blush

Geekster1963 · 19/01/2019 15:06

It's easier to tell you what to avoid! Whatever you do don't watch Topsy and Tim or Fireman Sam. Grin

Geekster1963 · 19/01/2019 15:07

Ohh yes Hey Duggy is quite good. A woof.

HappyPunky · 19/01/2019 15:10

You've had a lucky escape when she said no to bing.
Netflix has a trolls spin off
She might like blippi on you tube he's more educational

Kintan · 19/01/2019 15:13

We like Hey Duggee, and Danger Mouse (the 80s version not the remake) both on Netflix. We’ve heard so many friends say they wish they’d never let their children start watching Peppa Pig that that show is banned in our household :)

Ds has been watching toot the tiny tugboat and something called Puffin Rock, both on ch5 (milkshake) and they are both pretty good. Plus we Love blaze and the monster machines, the soundtrack is ace!

NeutralJanet · 19/01/2019 15:15

My little pony is on Netflix.

HighlandWorrier · 19/01/2019 15:16

Another Peppa mad fan here I think we know the episodes back to front too! Happily she's now getting interested in Tom & Jerry and a character called Booba who is always getting into mischief, she proper cracks up laughing at his antics. Steve and Maggie is good too. Someone mentioned Blippi, she seems to like him too we find him annoying lol. Hope some of these suggestions appeal to her 😊

Sproutsandall · 19/01/2019 15:17

Hey Duggee might be acceptable, thank you.

I’m not sure about Blippi...he looks a bit zany.

Hey Dougie, original Danger Mouse, Ben and Holly, original Ghostbusters, Rastamouse, The Clangers, 64 Zoo Lane, Spongebob Square pants are all good.

Avoid Mr Tumble, Waffle the Wonder dog, Topsy and Tim and In The Night Garden.

eurochick · 19/01/2019 15:18

Sarah and duck?

Ribbonsonabox · 19/01/2019 15:19

Charlie and Lola is lovely! Sarah and Duck is also great.

Badwifey · 19/01/2019 15:20

Muppet Babies is awesome... eh I mean my 4 year old likes it Wink

Ribbonsonabox · 19/01/2019 15:22

Oh and the Meg and Mog cartoon if you can find it on YouTube. My 3yo son absolutely loves that we have a DVD of it, and I dont mind it actually, can sit thru it. Cannot sit thru peppa!
I love the Clangers but my son is lukewarm about it

silkpyjamasallday · 19/01/2019 15:24

Puffin Rock is charming and has educational animal facts lovely animation and less brattishness than Peppa, though I may love it more than 2.5 yo DD does Grin

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 19/01/2019 15:32

I bloody love Hey Duggee. My DS is too old for it but my nephew is obsessed.

It was definitely written by people who had a heck of a good time in the 90’s Grin.

I get pounced on every 5 minutes for a lovely squishy slightly sticky ‘Duggee hug’!

PippilottaLongstocking · 19/01/2019 15:35

I love Hey Duggee, Puffin Rock, Nelly and Norah, Abney and Teal, Sarah and Duck, the new Clangers

Plus the old Clangers, Bagpuss, the Herbs, Ivor the Engine, Meg and Mog, etc (there’s loads on YouTube)

Sadly one of my kids is too old for these and the other is too young, I’d happily just watch them by myself though...

PippilottaLongstocking · 19/01/2019 15:38

And Button Moon!

Rockbird · 19/01/2019 15:39

I don't want to alarm you but my 7yo is watching Peppa as I type. The love is strong.

wildone81 · 19/01/2019 15:46

For your own amusement, watch the 'stick badge' episode of hey duggee.....

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 19/01/2019 15:47

Ah yes, Charlie and Lola is sublime compared to Peppa Pig.

doodlejump1980 · 19/01/2019 15:48

Hey Duggee
Octonauts
Go Jetters

LeonoraFlorence · 19/01/2019 15:50

After Peppa my DD1 moved on to Ben and Holly. I find it preferable!
