Which is the bubbliest bubble bath you’ve ever used?

Picture this. A 5 star hotel room to yourself. A huuuuge roll top bath. A glass of cold champagne/gin/alternative drink Grin in your hand. You’re going to run a bath and pour a whole bottle of bubble bath in there to make it like the movies... now, which bubble bath are you putting in?

Champneys Summer Dream is lovely

PeonyTruffle · 18/01/2019 18:57

Definitely Lush comforter bar, the pink one. Only need to snap a bit off and lob it in, it's literally lush

millmoo · 18/01/2019 18:57

I’m going to try and explain this the best I can but when I’m running cold water I put my thump half way over the tap so I’m half covering the water -this then adds pressure to the water and makes the bubble bath really bubbly -hope that makes sense ??

HowlsMovingBungalow · 18/01/2019 19:02

millmoo I do the thumb over the tap to get a faster flow trick too!

NotAColdWomanHenry · 18/01/2019 19:06

Clarins Relax one makes vast piles of bubbles in my bath, smells lovely too. (Though not cheap so I only get it once in a while.)

The bubbliest bath I ever had was when I was staying at a friend's, who had a a jacuzzi type bath with jets of bubbles. I put some bubble bath in and switched it on... after about 30 seconds there was so much foam it was sticking up high above the bath itself! (I don't think you're supposed to put bubble bath in them though.)

MyGastIsFlabbered · 18/01/2019 20:53

Must try the thumb trick

Dolceandgabbana14 · 18/01/2019 21:19

The Tropic Skincare vanilla and something one. About 20 quid a bottle but a tiny bit makes a really bubbly bath. It smells divine as well. I'd never buy it myself at that price but I was given a bottle by our local ambassador and it really is fabulous.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/01/2019 21:56

Do you mean bicarb of soda that is used in bath bombs?

Epsom salts ?

AlbusPercival · 18/01/2019 22:00

A capful of badedas and a capful of matey is the way to go

Franheaton · 18/01/2019 22:05

Lush comforter definitely. You really only need a bit.

Lush comforter, candles, chocolate and uncut magazine.

TinselAndKnickers · 18/01/2019 23:08

On my list so far:

  • Mr Matey (sorry everybody, I'm going with the mermaid. Fuck that creepy pirate!)
  • Lush bubble bar
  • Radox
  • Aldi Radox
  • Sanctuary

Any biiiig ones I've missed?
Sorry, but I cannot justify the price of what we Badedas is, the smell does not sound great Blush I will be missing out on the bubbles from that badboy!

Also need to take: face mask, raspberry gin liqueur and Prosecco, candles, a good book.. maybe some strawberries if I'm going for the full rich New Yorker in a movie vibe!

BADEDAS!

ScreamingValenta · 18/01/2019 23:29

Another vote for Mr Matey!

HugeAckmansWife · 18/01/2019 23:39

Molton brown gingerlili smells exactly like the Maldives. Also clarins relax doesn't smell as lovely in itself but really works if you need a wind down de stress bath. For cheap n cheerful bubbles I like Lush bubble bar in Blue sky

mustdrinkwaternotwine · 18/01/2019 23:42

DH didn't know not to put bubble bath into a jacuzzi bath. That was seriously bubbly. Took a bit of clearing up!

QuestionableMouse · 18/01/2019 23:47

Try Mr matey first. I used some of it when I visited my sister and it gave me raging thrush and made me itch all over. I've never had that reaction before!

Tropic vanilla bath foam.... heaven

Simonfromharlow · 19/01/2019 12:21

Radox with shea butter. Almost too bubbly!

squirrelnutkins1 · 19/01/2019 14:25

We've got some serious bubbles again! Shower head really is the best tip ever!!!

squirrelnutkins1 · 19/01/2019 14:26

Not sure why my knee looks like that 🙈🙈🙈

2019Reasons · 19/01/2019 14:28

Sainsbury’s own brand white bath creme. It’s 70p for a litre, smells like Dove soap and is super bubbly.

brizzledrizzle · 19/01/2019 14:31

So going to try the shower trick tonight, I knew there was a reason why we had a hand held shower attachment as well as overhead shower.
Badedas is horse chestnut isn't it?
I find the Neal's Yard bubble bath in the blue glass bottles to be very bubbly and you only need a small amount.

TinselAndKnickers · 19/01/2019 23:41

@squirrelnutkins1 I am going to try and one-up you when I go for the ultimate bubble bath Grin
