Who would you vote for in a General Election?

If there was a GE tomorrow, which political party would you vote for?

Personally I would vote Labour as I want to see an end to austerity, more money invested in public services and less inequality.

Huffleypuff

People need to realise this is a huge waste of time and a waste of a vote.

Its my vote and I won't use it to endorse policies that I don't believe in

You go into auto mode when vote counting, if there’s no X then it’s discarded. They won’t care about what you’ve written, the winners and losers won’t care about your spoilt ballot.

And that is the problem

I swear this is how Brexit got through, only the extremists bothered to get their opinion across.

The reason why Brexit is happening is because those in power didn't listen to those with issues.

NOTA, has been campaigning for years, the electoral committee has endorsed a NOTA box, the government/politicians won't put in on the ballot because it will finally show then just how many people don't support them.

Anyone who votes anything other than Labour is Tory as far as I am concerned. Anyone who should their vote or who doesn't vote isTory as far as I am concerned. Anyone who doesn't by now understand the need to get the Tories out should be deported as far as I am concerned

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 14/01/2019 18:06

Conservative.

Not all Conservative seats have Labour as the next placed party. They might be Lib Dem or SNP marginals.

Arkos · 14/01/2019 18:08

Snp... maybe. Best of a bad bunch.

RedWineIsFabulous · 14/01/2019 18:09

Latest poll is showing Labour six points behind Conservatives.

I would rather stick pins in my eyes than vote for him. Seems many feel the same.

Asdf12345 · 14/01/2019 18:13

Conservative. Not that the idea fills me with joy but they are the least bad of a terrible bunch.

UrsulaPandress · 14/01/2019 18:13

joy You’d struggle a bit if all Tories were deported.

Elfinablender · 14/01/2019 18:15

That's fine, think what you like. I'm not looking for friends.

Figgygal · 14/01/2019 18:18

Lib dem or green

I've never voted labour and don't think they could do any better job than what is currently being done austerity will have to continue despite what labour might suggest but they always overcommit and under finance or over finance and not give a shit which is how we got into this situation with austerity measures in the first place

Figgygal · 14/01/2019 18:21

Corbyn is a ghost he was before the referendum and has largely been since. He wouldn't know what to do with leading this country if it was handed to him.

You hear from keir starmer or David Lammy corbyn is fucking silent

If all the people in my constituency voted labour, the tories would still get in.

Or did you think that we no longer have FPTP and some form of RP?

Oh bless, Joy you say that as if you believe we care 'where you are concerned' and as if your pseudo-guilting is all that would be needed to change voters' hearts and minds.

BoneyBackJefferson · 14/01/2019 18:22

PR not RP

Ta1kinPeace · 14/01/2019 18:28

As I strongly believe that Corbyn is a Tory mole, how should I vote Wink

Needsmorebeans · 14/01/2019 18:34

Labour. I'm involved with the local food bank and people suffering under universal credit and totally unjust sanction system. Austerity is killing them and it's a political choice, not an economic one.

Don't be a muppet. You can call the Greens, SNP, Plaid and even the Libs a lot of things, but Tories they ain't.

PassTheGinPlease · 14/01/2019 18:44

Labour, without a moment's hesitation
Not just down to Brexit but the depths of destitution that the Tories have been the architects of.

RomanyRoots · 14/01/2019 18:45

Labour as I'm not a tory bastard Grin
I haven't voted for anything in ages though, certainly not brexit, as I didn't ask for it.

Helmlover · 14/01/2019 18:47

Those who intend to spoil their ballot might as well stay at home, scribble on a piece of paper and then flush it down the toilet. Let’s be realistic, either labour or the tories will be in power after the next election, and bothering to turn up at your polling station to write a few swear words on your voting card will have no impact on the political system whatsoever, and those who think otherwise are extremely naive/stupid.

OP posts:
Elfinablender · 14/01/2019 18:50

Neither stupid nor naïve, just happy to walk five minutes down the road and spoil my vote. I'm not looking for a medal, I'm just going to leave my mark, even if it is disregarded. I'm happy to yell at strangers on the way there if it makes me more productive.
