I just adore getting in to my bed at night. It’s the happiest time of the day.Grin
It’s so quiet, hot water bottle is so toasty, bed is so comfy, and all I have ahead of me is sleep. Bliss.
Anyone else just look forward to getting in to bed so much??

@Thisimmortalcurl with you there!! My 9wo son sleeps through the night (and is not even noisy so this isn't his fault at all) and I have no problems falling asleep but just can't stay asleep and barely get 4 hours a night. I do everything right (take herbal supplements that are meant to help, have a no-tech period before bed, exercise regularly, eat well, have a good mattress and eye mask, get to bed at a decent time etc) but to no avail. Was insomniac before I had my son so you would think I would be used to it but getting really fed up now.

April2020mom · 09/01/2019 17:20

I have a no tech routine before bedtime too. I get into my bed with a nice new book and I read for a while before I sleep. A hot drink helps me sleep.

Kikipost · 09/01/2019 17:38

I often turn my light off
Turn over
And sign with pure unadulterated contentment

Single parent
I didn’t have my own bedroom for two jeers do that my two children could each have a bedroom. I slept in the hall!
My bedroom now is exquisite. A real sanctuary.
I have spent a small fortune on 100% silk pillow cases and also a weighted blanket. And lots of Neom Candles
Worth every penny

Game changer

Oh my god yes I adore my bed. Especially in the winter now, dd2 is still in with me and currently her pyjamas of choice are a fleecey onesie. So we cuddle up, watch one of our favourite YouTube vlogs, DH brings me a cup of tea and then she goes to sleep and I watch something or read. The best part of the day!

Angelil · 09/01/2019 17:59

@Kikipost Funny, my mum said that when I spoke to her about it the other day. And I actually already have a Carun balm that contains CBD but haven't thought to try to use it for sleep. Will give it a go!

kateandme · 09/01/2019 17:59

especially with clean sheets!

labazsisgoingmad · 09/01/2019 18:51

BlueEyedBengal · 09/01/2019 18:57

I have scoliosis so get a lot of nerve pain so I wish I loved my bed but I if I'm lucky will sleep on and off for less than 4 hrs. Can anyone recommend a nice orthopaedic bed that would change my life . During that 4 hrs I toss and turn .

DrCoconut · 09/01/2019 19:05

I have sleep thieves. If you've seen the truth bomb mom video with the pillow you will know my life 😂

CMOTDibbler · 09/01/2019 19:12

Oh yes! We have a fab new mattress, a super king down duvet on a king size bed, brushed cotton bedding, and the room is lovely and cold at the moment so you get to really snuggle down under the duvet. Bliss.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 09/01/2019 19:20

Looking forward to my freshly washed bedding tonight.bliss!

speakout · 09/01/2019 19:36

I'm with you OP.

9pm is my bedtime, iften go with a cuppa, a book, love to have an hour snuggling before I sleep.

I also look forward to wakening up in the morning though.

Sally2791 · 09/01/2019 20:04

I love it. Book ,hot water bottle and cat. Bliss

MrsJBaptiste · 09/01/2019 20:30

ILoveChristmasLights I'm just like this. Woke up yesterday morning absolutely kackered and vowed to have an early night and be in bed by 10pm. It gets to the evening and I don't want to waste it going to bed early and before I know it, it's 11.30 and I start taking myself upstairs. Knackered again today after waking with backache (again!) at 6am 😩

TheFirstOHN · 09/01/2019 20:42

It's often my favourite part of the day, especially in winter.

Our bedroom is quite cold (between 14 and 18 degrees in winter) and I now have a electric heat pad to warm up the area where my feet are. I love the contrast between the cool air in the room and the warmth under the duvet.

TheFirstOHN · 09/01/2019 20:48

When I wake up for work every morning, the first thing I think about is how excited I am to get back into bed later. Seriously.

On the days when I only work a half-day, I come home, grab an extremely quick lunch, get straight into bed and stay there until the teenagers get home from school.

AllTakenSoRubbishUsername · 09/01/2019 20:53

I love it, warm cosy bed, windows open so nice crispy fresh air!

Bathbombs · 09/01/2019 20:56

My husband takes the piss because every night I get into bed and say ‘ahhh I love my bed’
I might go up now actually!

hmmwhatatodo · 09/01/2019 20:57

I want to enjoy my bed and sleeping early but i just cant. Im not exactly sure why but my bedroom is my least favourite room in the house. It doesnt help that it is also the coldest room and im not a fan of the cold. It isnt cluttered. Im not ecactly sure what the problem is. I am better at being in there in the summer but during this time id be happier if my bed was in the living room or even if there were a spare bed in the childrens room!

neversleepagain · 09/01/2019 20:59

I've been in mine since 7pm, had 2 cups of tea and read a big chunk of my new book. Have the cats snoozing next to me.

I love my bed more than most things.

Jorgezaunders · 09/01/2019 21:01

I have found my people!!

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 09/01/2019 21:01

I spend most nights doing housework till gone 11. Upstairs, and baby twins somehow sense me trying to sneak into bed, both wake up, 30-40 mins to do x 2 bottles and settle. Some time after midnight I get into bed - which is the spare bed as both twins' cots in there. Then 4yo DD1 will wake up around 2. Then the twins are back at it from around 4. Then my alarm goes off at 615.

I can't tell you all how much I envy your long blissful sleeps and cosy beds! I want to sleep 8 hours NOT next to a small baby cackling and grabbing my hair.

LuckyLou7 · 09/01/2019 21:04

Ooh, I love my bed. DH is on nights so I have the bed all to myself tonight. Film 4 on the telly, kindle in hand, frothy hot chocolate to drink and a long snooze ahead - absolute bliss.

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 09/01/2019 21:11

Me too. I love my bed. I go as early as possible Sunday to Thursday.
