I just adore getting in to my bed at night. It’s the happiest time of the day.Grin
It’s so quiet, hot water bottle is so toasty, bed is so comfy, and all I have ahead of me is sleep. Bliss.
Anyone else just look forward to getting in to bed so much??

Especially fabulous after a lovely bath, newly shorn legs, crisp clean bedding and a fresh new book!

Still co sleeping with my 6 month old, but a comfy bed all to myself, totally starfished, is all I dream about right now!!

Night night all and sweet dreams!

DryHeave · 08/01/2019 23:33

Children sleep too? When?

sweetkitty · 08/01/2019 23:38

I’ve found my people! My bed is my happy place sometimes I’ll just climb in during the day to warm up.

Gettingbackonmyfeet · 08/01/2019 23:52

I just thought this a second ago and opened up MN for a potter around before I slept and saw this thread Grin

I had literally just got in snuggled down and said " ahhh bed " glad I'm not the only nuts one

restingbitchfarce · 08/01/2019 23:57

Mmm still in my lovely bed. I come up at 8pm, watch TV /read then listen to comedy while getting to sleep. I have a hot water dispenser on my bedside table to I have 2 coffees before I even have to get out. Lush.

KaleidoscopeEyes · 09/01/2019 06:52

I'm just about to get into mine after a night shift... Can't wait!

CakeNinja · 09/01/2019 07:21

I love mine too! I’m often to be found reading in it at the weekends if we don’t have plans. And I generally come and have a little lie down in my bed after work before I make dinner! I don’t sleep, it’s just comfy and inviting Grin
Sofas don’t have the same appeal, they lack a duvet and the peace and quiet...
Anyway I hated leaving mine this morning and can’t wait to get back to it tonight. I agree with the pp that the first thing I look forward to when I wake up is getting back into bed that evening.
Perhaps I love my bed too much?

Millie2013 · 09/01/2019 07:29

I love my bed too! And it’s all miiiiiine during the week

mizu · 09/01/2019 07:42

Best thing ever! I love my bed. Book and electric blanket = bliss.
I love sleeping too, could quite happily go to bed at around 10 and get up at 8-9 in the morning.
This is a rare occurrence of course Grin

ItsHardToExplain · 09/01/2019 07:47

I love going to bed and also look forward to it. It makes me wonder if my children are actually mine as they seem to not want to. Drinks, needing a wee, being scared, hearing noises outside, remembering something from 18 months ago they MUST tell me know. I just want them to go to sleep before my hot water bottle cools down Angry

Mabelface · 09/01/2019 07:50

Absolutely love my bed. Normally sleep really well, although not at present as I've just ended my relationship and my inner thermostat is wonky due to menopause. Night sweats are a pain in the arse.

fleshmarketclose · 09/01/2019 07:52

When exh moved out I moved bedrooms, redecorated and bought a beautiful bed. Every night it makes me smile when I go in that room, it's my favourite place in the house.

SummerBambinosMum · 09/01/2019 08:04

Aw Fleshmarket, that sounds wonderful! And sleep well Kaleidoscope

daffydowndilys · 09/01/2019 08:08

I'm exactly the same! In fact I asked my husband that if I die before him that I want to be buried in a coffin which is made into abed inside. Put me on my side in my sleeping position and put in a pillow and a small blanket/duvet and then I can really sleep forever!

DoingMyBest2010 · 09/01/2019 08:09

Best time of the day. Face creamed up, lipbalm applied, book and zzzzzz.

RedTartanLass · 09/01/2019 08:14

People don't love their bed .....🙀

Lottapianos · 09/01/2019 08:21

I love that I'm not the only one who actually exclaims out loud when getting into bed at night! It's usually 'Oh yes, BED!' Or ' Oh it's the best place on earth!'. Saddo Grin

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 09/01/2019 09:26

I'm a night owl, so I really struggle to make myself go to bed. Love a lie in though - rarely get one since having DC though!

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 09/01/2019 09:32

Our bed is called Beddie and often one or other of us will be heard to murmur 'mmm, beddiebeddiebeddiebeddie'. All our bedclothes are white and it's like burrowing into a giant soft marshmallow.

Unfortunately I can't get comfy properly in bed any more as my lower back, hips and left shoulder get painful in most positions. I miss my comfies : (

papayasareyum · 09/01/2019 09:33

mine too, have a king sized bed with memory foam mattress and one of those gorgeous fluffy bottom sheets. It's bliss

Zoflorabore · 09/01/2019 10:29

Hello fellow bed lovers :)

I have really bad insomnia and can fall asleep but can't stay asleep so I love every second I am actually in bed as once I'm awake I have to get up ( OCD and have to start my day whatever the time :( )

Next week I'm getting a new bed and mattress and it's like I've won the lottery! I'm so excited. I also suffer with severe fibromyalgia and the mattress I've got now is so bad I can feel the springs popping out.

I'm counting down the days.....
Another one who is obsessed with buying bedding and pyjamas too.

ILoveChristmasLights · 09/01/2019 10:42

In the morning I love the idea of an early night, cosy in bed, reading a book, nice cup of tea... in the evening I just want to ‘do’ stuff (online, crochet, work, sort stuff out). I need time to just potter. Then I struggle to get to sleep...wake up exhausted and rinse and repeat.

I’ve tried all the ‘no screens/eating earlier/relaxation techniques’ nothing works 😖

Our bed is OK, but I’d like to get a new one. I want one that’s ‘firm’ but feels like a heavy mattress, not just a hard mattress. I’m not sure how else to explain it. DEFINITELY NOT memory foam, I overheat no matter what ‘topper’ or type.

Any suggestions?
