HElp! Most comfortable knickers of all time?

Lavendersoap5 · 07/01/2019 11:24

I am sick and tired of buying uncomfortable knickers.

What are the most comfy knickers of all time? Ones that don’t ride up or dig in. I don’t need any lace on them or any silly trimmings. Just some pure cotton, comfy pants. Is that too much to ask?!

(Just bought some M&S midi ones and the lace on them is digging into one side of me.)

Arg!

Don’t even care if they’re expensive. I don’t need them to be pretty. I just want some super comfy pants!

I have some M&S Midi and some (huge) M&S Full Briefs. I always reach for the latter first - they're much more comfortable.

Post C-section I bought some enormous knickers that cover my tummy so that the elastic wouldn't be resting on my scar.

They're a revelation! I've stuck with them well beyond the section scar healing, because they're just so comfortable. I don't think about them at all as they just do their job and stay put.

I am all for function over beauty! Those JL ones look great, newshoes. Not too massive either!

I always buy M&S bikini briefs in modal, they are by far the most comfortable knickers ever!
I now buy my pj’s and dressing gown with modal and they are heavenly 😁

Jolonglegs · 07/01/2019 11:40

I'm currently buying Tu knickers, they're lovely and comfy - tuclothing.sainsburys.co.uk/p/Multicoloured-Floral-Print-Midi-Knickers-5-Pack/133761399-DarkRed?searchTerm=:newArrivals&searchProduct=

Scrundies, you can get them on Etsy (I make mine).

greenybluey · 07/01/2019 11:42

M&S make some with cashmere in. They are so soft and comfy.

DragonMamma · 07/01/2019 11:47

These from Asda are super comfy direct.asda.com/george/women/knickers/assorted-lace-trim-high-leg-knickers-4-pack/GEM622169,default,pd.html?cgid=D1M18G2C2

I’ve tried the M&S full ones after seeing them recommended on here - and they were comfy but my god, they made me so warm! I’ve got their midi ones on today and they are comfy enough but not massively so.

ThomasHardyPerennial · 07/01/2019 11:53

The John Lewis ones linked above are the best pants I've ever had. So comfy!

eosmum · 07/01/2019 11:55

Primark trousers pants. So cheap and so comfy.

MiriAmmerman · 07/01/2019 11:58

Sainsbury's TU full briefs - £6 for 5 pairs. NB I find the elastic tight on the white ones, but the black ones are pure knicker heaven.

neddle · 07/01/2019 11:59

I make my own as well. They’re the most comfortable underwear I’ve ever had.
I haven’t yet priced them up to sell, but I make children’s clothing to sell so I often end up with unicorns or dinosaurs on my pants!

BoswellsBollocks · 07/01/2019 11:59

I always wear thongs. They’re the comfiest for me so long as the sides are thick enough.

All other knickers seem to move about, dig in or not cover my massive arse enough.

Plain black Asda ones are my favourite.

flimp · 07/01/2019 12:01

Primary seamless. No elastic or lace at all. I bought mine after my first c section because they're so soft and there's no going back.

drspouse · 07/01/2019 12:01

I make my DCs clothes too so I have crocodile pants!

Ariela · 07/01/2019 12:03

Another vote for John Lewis pima cotton

Butterfliesandbluebells · 07/01/2019 12:06

I like these, full without being utilitarian.

Liftwantedaroundtheworld · 07/01/2019 12:15

Mardy Bums (handmade, look up Mardy Bum Boutique on Facebook) 💜

mimiasovitch · 07/01/2019 12:19

To those who make them, have you tried Rad patterns panel panties? I used to use the scrundlewear patterns, but I'm slowly but surely filling my drawer with the former now. So comfy, and a great use for old tshirts too.

masterstef · 07/01/2019 12:20

Gap 'breathe' high waisted. They never have a full range of sizes in stock though. modal rather than cotton.

Curlypop · 07/01/2019 12:25

Uniqlo knickers are so comfy

ToastyFingers · 07/01/2019 12:26

I can't be dealing with any more material than necessary with knickers. I wear thongs mostly as nothing else seems to cover my sizeable arse and be small enough on the waist/hips to stay up.

MaggieFS · 07/01/2019 12:44

I got some Tu super soft full briefs for after my c section and I bloody love them! They are enormous though. I think DH is hoping at some point they will be retired but I'm in no rush!

fatpatsthong · 07/01/2019 13:02

Like others I like a full pant these days. Either Tu or M&S full briefs. The plain M&S ones in modal are my faves.

Mayhemmumma · 07/01/2019 13:04

Size up it's the only way
