Anyone still around from the olden days ??

i think I joined when Ds was around 9 months old, so 2003, and then stopped posting around 2013/14 ish maybe, not too sure.

Seems like a life time ago and was just sat here wondering if anyone from then was still around, or if we all buggered off.

2007 on a previous account. Name change every few weeks as quoted 3 times that I am aware of in the Daily Mail.

Tiredemma I remember you!! I was under a different name but live in Boldmere. I think we've 'spoke' before about running in the park and schools.

You had a surprise Dd if I'm correct??! How old is she now? Mine are 14 & 15 at PB school. Can't believe they are soooo grown up now xx

2009 I think I joined. I was NinkyNonker for years, then lost that name when MN did whatever they did and I got locked out. Then was Witsender for a while. I've had a few other very short lived names

I'm definitely an old-timer. I lived locally to Justine and Carrie and a friend (also local) told me about this new website for mums some people she knew were setting up and asked me to support it :)

I've been through lots of different names since then and periodically deregister and re-register for privacy reasons.

Teary I would say that too, particularly the feminism boards. I would never have questioned so much if I did not come onto MN as I avoid the news most days. It has got far nastier with a much much larger platform but still makes me laugh at times.

The relationship board was most helpful when I divorced exh!

@LaurieFairyCake - you started one of the most memorable threads I've ever read on Mumsnet! It was about tipping a waitress. I saw opinions and views on that thread that I would never have imagined possible (from the non-tippers Grin) and it really opened up my eyes to the fact that on MN I could be in touch with people who were the polar opposite of me in every respect. My social circle is quite narrow, as is everyone's if they are honest, but here I can share a space with people who have nothing whatsoever in common with me. I rather like that.

Been here since 2004. Name changed multiple times. I’m not a prolific poster so no one would remember me.

MN s been with me through thick ad thin. Very grateful to this nest of Vipers. 😀

The vibe on MN s definitely changed over the years.

bored I remember! Yes I have Ds1 now 18 and about to jet off to Oz to play rugby. DS2 is 15 and at BOA in bham ( he was the reason I joined Mnet back in 2003 as he wouldn't bloody sleep!
My "surprise" DD came along in 2013 after me finding out I was PG at 24 weeks 😩

Seems strange to think I've been here 15 years 😳

BTW. Dd is now nearly 14, I have mentioned that if she has any life problems she needs help with or talk through , she should go to MN Grin

I have found MN such an eye opener in terms of learning about other people s lives and in particular Relationships.

Had my DD in 2001 and likely joined at some stage ‘soon’ after - there were a few
humorous feisty frank posters then but less viper like than some today

Joined in 2010 when DC1 was due. This place was a life saver then and now is almost my social life although I lurk more than post. I know those of you that were around in the early days say it was more supportive but I find if you avoid aibu then people still tend to be helpful. The feminist boards are fantastically educational too. I've always been a feminist but possibly a lazy one until recently!

Not sure how long I've been on here but it must be 15ish years.

Im happy to be on the Applying for Uni 2019 UCAS and beyond threads, my DD is now 17, it's nice how the whole cycle of life and parenting is here.

When I joined my DS was a baby and all I read was TickTock's posts on breast feeding... she was amazing is she still around?
