Anyone still around from the olden days ??

i think I joined when Ds was around 9 months old, so 2003, and then stopped posting around 2013/14 ish maybe, not too sure.

Seems like a life time ago and was just sat here wondering if anyone from then was still around, or if we all buggered off.

I was here in Feb 2003 when dd2 was born (under a different name to start with). Didn't post much but do remember all of the oldies. Went to a few meet ups. Dd2 is doing her gcses this year. I post a little bit under different names these days.

Still here 😀😀😀. I think it's since the very beginning. Or almost. But nothing like as active as before. I was a regular on the infant feeding board and I know I did help many people because they told me I did 😀❤️. I pissed off a couple - again they told me! But I'm no longer a breastfeeding counsellor so I feel it's less appropriate to contribute as much as I did. I do like the feminism board and think it does a great job.

I've "only" been here since 2006, but saw certain threads unrolling in real time (John Hemming MP drunkenly breaching a court order....Jeffrey....that other hack....Sharon and the wasp and the wine), which was, um, fun.

R0wentrees is still here, doing a stirling job on the FWR threads. Xenia is also around and posts occasionally, as does Spero and Kewcumber. Kristina is here but has name changed a few times

I was inspired to search for and actually FOUND the thread that made such an impression on me @Lauriefairycake!

Funny but it was actually quite exciting when a poster was rumbled for trolling / bullshitting back then wasn’t it?

Joined years ago when I was a scared new mum in a foreign country and DH was the only person I knew. Namechanged now but still remember lots of names on here very fondly.

Drifted away from MN, mainly due to a particular poster who even today is still going round (on Twitter) thinking she is better than everyone else. Some people will never change, eh?

There used to be good proper dingongs and dramas here, ‘‘twas great. But the upside is that it’s much easier to not get sucked in now, because unless you’re on a long-running thread it’s hard to get to know people and form allegiances.

Remember when MN had a celebratory 10th anniversary party and there was lots of upset over who was invited and who wasn’t, with some poor posted being invited by mistake and MNHQ then emailing to rescind the invitation ...
