Anyone still around from the olden days ??

i think I joined when Ds was around 9 months old, so 2003, and then stopped posting around 2013/14 ish maybe, not too sure.

Seems like a life time ago and was just sat here wondering if anyone from then was still around, or if we all buggered off.

My first Mumsnet post was in October 2006 asking about high chairs for DS2. Given that DS4 is still using that high chair I would say I was given good advice! I can't believe I've been posting here for 12 years - all under the same username as well!

Been here since 2001/2 when o used to log in by dial up server on my computer. DS2 birth was announced here, and MN has seen
me through lots (same user name for years!!!)

I remember Prufrock, Sobernow, Enid, Beetroot, Cod, Thewomaninahat, Suzy and Mears to name a few. I'm sure I'll remember a whole load more after this.

I only joined 7 years ago so am quite new, but remember a fair number of the names listed here. Worra is still about, for whoever mentioned her. I wonder how Derek is getting on with little Captain Princess Sparkle (or something - probably not so little now)!!

I joined sometime around the moldies episode, although I joined a site in 2004 when I was pregnant and can't remember whether it was here or NM, so I could have just been rejoining! I've had a few different names but I think I've settled into this one now.

You don't really hear much about NM's on here anymore, I quite liked the mock rivalry in the past.

I joined 10 years ago. On MN, that makes me a relative noob.

Just looked back and found first post was May 2002 , I was Philly then but have changed names lots since. Remember a poster called ks and also Dido. Just found a post where I was talking to Roisin about Anthony Horowitz and books for 9 year olds . Yesterday we were talking about university entrance ! Jimjams was really hrlpful and a poster called blue bear and who was a scientist and gave me a lot of help when ds was having genetic testing for a condition.

I was here in 2002. I lurked for 6 years before plucking up the courage to post and then I was flamed in my first one!

I remember Anyfucker, Pigletjohn, Talkinpeace, Xenia, Bibbitybobbityhat and a few others whose names I can't recall.

My favourite thread was the "Pirate Noises During Sex" one.

Joined when my eldest was born in 2001, she is turning 18 this year so seems like a looong time ago, I really just lurk now but I don't think it's the same old Mumsnet that it used to be which is a shame.

I'm still convinced that LaQueen was a prolific poster on another forum years and years ago - the username and posting style were soooooo similar, but the life story was different. It will always remain one of life's unsolved mysteries to me
