What's everyone up to today?
I know NY can be differeent for everyone.

I have just woken, after 10 hours sleep, I didn't stay up. had no alcohol. Adult kids are not back yet- (18 and 21), they willl be at some point.

Probably pop to Tesco, at 10am or so, otherwi8se taking down the christmas tree, doing some work, OH will cook..

Decluttering, cleaning, baking, maybe a walk.

shiveringtimber · 01/01/2019 08:38

We're only 38 minutes in so immediate plan is to go to sleep!Wink

Impicciona · 01/01/2019 08:38

DD is staying with friends for the next 3 days so it's just DH and I. We're about to have breakfast of leftover steak from last night (a huge t-bone that I couldn't finish) and eggs. Then we're going for a walk by the lake and home to watch a film.

bigchris · 01/01/2019 08:38

I went to bed at 10, had two g&ts and got a headache, grrr

Probably Tesco too and take it easy

Ilovewillow · 01/01/2019 08:39

A bit of a tidy, hoover etc. Walk later and lunch out. We haven't been near the shops all Christmas and very excitingly my son needs new school shirts so we will get those too! Have a good one!

Veronicat · 01/01/2019 08:40

Take the trees down and wash my work clothes . Maybe take the dogs to a Loch somewhere if it's not raining to much. Just a quiet day here in the shire.

Bluesheep8 · 01/01/2019 08:41

Happy new year. Having bacon and egg for breakfast, then going for a long walk where we live (edge of the peak district) followed by a few drinks in the local pub in the afternoon, followed by a snooze I think. I made goulash (Austrian) yesterday so will have that with bread dumplings for tea.

Marmite27 · 01/01/2019 08:43

DC3 and I have just made waffles for breakfast.

We’re all going to my mums for lunch at 1pm with my DB and his family.

All the DGC are similar ages (2x3 yo and 2x8 mo) so the kids will enjoy some time together. Bath at Granny’s then pjs for the drive home.

Wingingeverything · 01/01/2019 08:45

Go for a nice walk with my family then come home, cook tea and relax while watching a film.x

Starlight90 · 01/01/2019 08:46

Twigletaddict · 01/01/2019 08:47

Not much, I was at work until 2am, didn’t have a drink but have a stinking cold and have been coughing all night.

Justonedayatatime11 · 01/01/2019 08:49

Hot cross buns for breakfast, followed by a drive to my Mums and a walk on the beach before a huge roast with 10 of us and then watch the New Year's Day fireworks on the pier

Lolly34h · 01/01/2019 08:51

House work and my dad is coming for lunch teenagers are still sleeping but 11 month old dd is wide awake. Didn't drink last night in fact was in bed and asleep by 9.30 as a day of shopping with teenagers tired me right out. Probably take the little one for a walk to Tesco soon for something nice for after lunch x

GrumpyOldMare · 01/01/2019 08:51

I'm just waiting for the train. I'm off to work. Enjoy your day whatever you do.

speakout · 01/01/2019 08:54

De-christmassing!! Then work.

I've just put a joint of pork in to slow cook, which we're going to have with cauliflower cheese & sweet potato fries from the freezer.

I'm starting RED January so off out on a run in a bit.

Christmasfairy07 · 01/01/2019 09:12

I somehow hurt myself just before I went to bed around 2am so had to dose myself up to get to sleep. Only got about 4 hours. Not sure what we’re up to yet. Definitely taking the tree down. Making plans for the rest of the week as I’m on holiday & DD doesn’t go back to school until Monday. I might pop up to do a bit of shopping. Trying to resist looking at the Monsoon kids sale but I usually get some nice bits to put away for birthday/Christmas

Christmasfairy07 · 01/01/2019 09:13

Pop out not up!

Wouldyouorshouldyou · 01/01/2019 09:15

JustanotherCHRISTMASuser01 · 01/01/2019 09:19

we're watching the good place in bed followed by taking the Christmas tree down we will then take the dog a nice walk.

InMyOwnParticularIdiom · 01/01/2019 09:35

Potty-training ShockTrying to keep a butt-naked two year old entertained in a super-heated kitchen (only place with Lino floor) while observing alleged 'pee pee signs.' The main sign seems to be pissing all over the floor.
