Does anyone actually like the Cornish Wafer? What crackers always get left in your house?

The Hovis biscuit isn't that popular either.

Always the Hovis. The butter biscuits go first!

groundcontroltomontydon · 31/12/2018 14:30

I love a Cornish wafer. For me the cracker of disappointment is the water biscuit.

IsItCoffeeTimeYet · 31/12/2018 14:31

Shock I've just bought a pack of purely Cornish wafers, they're the best!

I don't like the hovis ones but DH and DC do.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 31/12/2018 14:31

I love the Cornish wafer! Have you seen the number of calories though Shock.

I like a dark bake water biscuit too.

Digestives are just WRONG with cheese.

Gunpowder · 31/12/2018 14:32

Ooh I like the hovis ones with cheese and crunchy apple.

SwedishEdith · 31/12/2018 14:33

Oh, ground, we should swap tubs - the water biscuit is my go to. I like the wholemeal one as well. The Cornish wafer is like a stale, unsweet lemon puff. What cheese is it for?

I love a cornish wafer & a water biscuit, they just need the right cheese.

The hovis ones get left behind because I can't find a cheese that goes with them, they are too sweet IMO.

SwedishEdith · 31/12/2018 14:34

I haven't seen the calories in one - and don't need to as I avoid it Grin.

Just troffing a Cornish wafer now...my fave followed by water crackers. Hovis or digestives are too sweet and are wrong with cheese...just sayin'

ScreamingValenta · 31/12/2018 14:35

Cornish wafers are popular here. The cheddars remain uneaten.

Jubarbrhubarb · 31/12/2018 14:36

OMG DramaAlpaca...I've just written your post again! Lol!

SwedishEdith · 31/12/2018 14:36

Maybe I'm getting the Hovis (round wholemeal one) mixed up with the oblong dog biscuit - if that's the digestive, it's that that I don't like.

See, I love the water biscuits! Not on their own, but with cheese.

Between us we can get through the whole selection .

3catsandcounting · 31/12/2018 14:39

Send the Hovis my way (the mini loaf-shape) I love them. Cornish wafers feel 'stale' to me. (cracker heathen)

Sitranced · 31/12/2018 14:43

I'll have the hovis, with plenty of butter too please.

MorningsEleven · 31/12/2018 14:49

Cornish wafers are the best. Digestives do not belong with cheese.

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 31/12/2018 14:51

Those charcoal hexagons.

winsinbin · 31/12/2018 14:51

Water biscuits are vile. Cornish wafers are my favourites. The Hovis digestive ones are delicious with Stilton and chilli jam.

Knittedfairies · 31/12/2018 14:53

I like Cornish wafers and water biscuits. Send them along...

SilentBob · 31/12/2018 15:28

I just buy separates now after many years of saying sayonara to the water biscuits, Cornish wafers and digestives.

I buy Carr's cheese melts and Jacobs's multigrain.

My partner actually likes the digestives but we don't talk about that.

DramaAlpaca · 31/12/2018 15:30

Jubarbrhubarb Grin

ShadyLady53 · 31/12/2018 15:36

I’ve got Coeliac Disease now but used to love the Cornish Wafer with butter thick spread and the Hovis Biscuit with Cheese.

Neptunesgiraffe · 31/12/2018 15:37

I hate a cornish wafer. But a hovis biscuit is great with butter, marmite and cheese! Yum!

PorpentinaScamander · 31/12/2018 15:39

Cornish wafers are my favourite.

I dunk the hovis ones in tea.

HerSymphonyAndSong · 31/12/2018 15:40

I have no idea what a Cornish wafer is. I shall google.
