What boring thing did you get ridiculously excited about buying?

Lighthearted!

I bought a new fancy mop today and it is the best mop I have ever owned (I honestly do have a life!). It reminded me of when we bought a dyson my DP took a photo of himself with it and we argued over which of us could use it first!

What stupid thing have you got stupidly excited about?!

I got insanely excited when I bought my cordless dyson hoover. It's so much easier to use, I still love it it!

Oh and my heated blanket Smile

800 thread Egyptian cotton sheets and new goose down duvet. They have transformed my sleep.

A hook to keep my razor up high on the shower door. So I no longer have to lock it in an inconvenient cupboard away from dc. I am convinced this will be life changing.

Bubble bath
Nut butters

I've just bought a G-Tech cordless vacuum. Actually I've bought two as they were a bundle on offer
Even the one that looks oddly like the carpet sweeper my granny used to have is a revelation Grin

Ooh which mop? I got my Dad a fancy mop for Christmas (don't ask, it was an in joke - I bought him nice presents too!)

Bake in the bag things for roasting ham/chicken in a bag!

LookImAHooman · 28/12/2018 22:59

Judge linky link, please. I only have a stupid sucker device that comes with the razor and falls off occasionally.

RainbowCake · 28/12/2018 23:01

Got a carpet cleaner today and can't wait until everyone is out tomorrow to give it a whirl.

Kallax units

moodyblues · 28/12/2018 23:06

I bought myself a hob top steamer today for 15 quid! It looks nice, isn’t too big and I’m just utterly thrilled with it! Go me.

ScreamingBadSanta · 28/12/2018 23:07

Ikea desk (the enormous curved one). It's ace!

Coldbatteredpuddings · 28/12/2018 23:09

My new karcher window vac. Our house gets loads of window condensation and i have been using a scraper and an old towel. It arrived yesterday but rather disappointingly there was no condensation anywhere this morning to hoover up. I had a hot bath today just to generate some condensation in the bathroom so I could try it out. I'm looking forward to cleaning the windows with it now - I am expecting streak free windows for the first time ever!!

homemadegin · 28/12/2018 23:09

I have just ordered a wardrobe for my baby DD. I bought nothing before she arrives as after multiple losses was scared She never would. She got loads of clothes for Christmas and I am so excited to hang them all up and fill it full of her lovely things. I meanwhile look like a bag lady but she is just lovely. Grin

4forkssake · 28/12/2018 23:11

Sorry that was in reply to

Wait what's a shark mop!?!!!

LookImAHooman · 28/12/2018 23:13

homemadegin Flowers That doesn’t change - so much more fun to dress than ourselves Grin

homemadegin · 28/12/2018 23:18

Awww thank you LookImAHooman. Glad to hear it never changes. I'm very much a baby grow fanatic at the moment and the wardrobe has lots of shelves. DH is not sharing in my wardrobe excitement. Blush

showmethegin · 28/12/2018 23:27

This is THE mop. We have stone floors in the kitchen and bathroom. I mopped them both and it was dry in about 5 minutes! Plus the material that the mop is made of dries in about half an hour so doesn't smell damp like my old one did. GAME CHANGER

Not buying, but my mum bought me a dustbuster for Christmas and i was over the moon! With 2 kittens and an indoor guinea pig a dustpan and brush just wasn't cutting it.
