Looking for some inspiration...

Is there something that is relatively inexpensive (£100 max) that has had an good impact on your quality of life?

I have vouchers that need used.

Copious bedsocks

coffeekittens · 28/12/2018 23:10

A kindle, I was never keen on the idea much preferring books but borrowed my mums when I was in hospital. They’re brilliant the battery life is amazing, I find it much easier to read from than a book as I don’t have to worry about lighting etc, and books are a lot cheaper!

Sorel snow boots, I’m petrified of going outside in snow/ice incase I slip but I managed to walk for miles in -12 degrees in these and they served me so well when we had all of snow in the UK, my feet were toasty warm without sweating as well.

Breadmaker, aeropress

thenightsky · 28/12/2018 23:15

coffeekittens Agree. I have recently discovered the joy that is Kindle. Tiny luggage allowance? I had 8 books right there on my Kindle. DH had to move stuff around and wear two coats to accommodate his holiday book collection Grin

A wool mix jumper. Never had one before and it's so warm and comfortable.

I would also second the electric blanket.

Wow so many fab ideas - this thread will disappear won't it? Is there any way to save it? Thanks!

buttercreamweeds · 28/12/2018 23:58

Fingerless mittens for reading in bed
Washi tape
Lovely notebooks and pens
Getting my skin under control with proper skincare

So many kitchen things:
Instant pot
Mini spoon spatula -I have 3!
Handheld mixer, surprisingly useful

Thishatisnotmine · 29/12/2018 00:54

Beeswax wraps for bread. A supermarket bakery load stays fresher and nicer for ages, I can't believe the difference.

A Blox diary. It made me so organised. I can't find one in stock for 2019 though!

Sassandballs · 29/12/2018 01:17

I cannot live without my instant pot, I can cook meat from frozen as I am forever forgetting to take things out to defrost. Cooked leg of lamb last year for Christmas & this Christmas a massive piece of beef, so tender & the gravy is immense.

This Works In Transit Camera Close Up Mask, Moisturiser & Primer makes my skin look really nice. Costs about £15 but I think it is worth it. Am off to google instant pot now!

Rememory · 29/12/2018 07:38

My new crinkly duvet and 100% cotton duvet cover from Scion. As a previous poster said - shower, fresh pj's and getting into my freshly made up bed is bliss.

chopc · 29/12/2018 08:00

Loving this thread. Got some amazing new ideas

sulflower · 29/12/2018 08:05

I'll second the one cup thing. We got one a couple of years ago and can't imagine going back to a kettle. My Kindle, hated it at first and now I bloody adore it. Wheat bags, fantastic for bed warming or soothing aching bits and pieces. Amazon Prime, worth it alone for 4 seasons of watching Jamie Fraser 😍.

wellhonestly · 29/12/2018 08:05

@lotusbell -
amazon

Lots of colours but I went for boring old black and nude. And for the record, I think calling them "sexy" is stretching it a bit Xmas Hmm but they are very comfy and sleek.

TillyVonMilly · 29/12/2018 08:44

The trouble with these threads, is that I didn’t realise that I needed all this stuff until now Xmas Grin
I’ve currently got beeswax wraps and yoga therapy balls sat in my amazon basket
I’m so far ignoring the airfryer, I’m not even going to peek at it

mollysmammy · 29/12/2018 09:05

An adult 'gro-bag' with 'feet' in, I hate that my dressing gown constantly comes untied, it's super cosy for cold nights and Winter mornings. Also amused the postman when he called at 7am Grin
