Looking for some inspiration...

Is there something that is relatively inexpensive (£100 max) that has had an good impact on your quality of life?

I have vouchers that need used.

Uniqlo have got a sale om so I'm going to buy some thermals.. are they called thin thermals. . There seem to be lots of kinds on the website?

Hullabalooo · 29/12/2018 20:54

Washi tape been great for Christmas.
Amazon fire stick
Breadmaker
Waterproof boots
Electric blanket
Amazing thing from Poundland which sits on edge of work surface and catches veg detritus when chopping
Rechargeable bike lights

The electric blanket is indeed a wonderful invention.

I also love good quality black gel pens to write with. These are the ones I like as they feel great to hold and they flow nicely - www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00QKGR0HY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8

My number one life-changing cheap product is silicone earplugs. I always have some at the bedside table if my neighbours get noisy at night and always take a pack with me whenever I go away. They're so much better than the foam ones and the Boots and Superdrug own brands are as good as the ones from Bio Ears.

This has been my favourite indispensable find this winter

A three-in-one USB charger cable. Charges iPhones, mini-USB, and
USB-C devices. No more running upstairs or downstairs to get the charger cable, no messing about with converters
, no arguments with DP or DC over who last saw the right cable. I have one in the car and one in the living room, as well as my own phone charger cable in the bedroom. Only shortcoming is that it can only charge one device at a time.

This is the one I bought. Other shops and models are available. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07B96TMFF/?tag=mumsnetforum-21

Hullabalooo - the 'extra warm' Heattech thermals from Uniqlo are the really cosy ones. A bit thicker than the normal range but so warm.

I can endorse what JimandPam says about the Lakeland tap adapta, it's great. We've got a few in rotation (need to de-lime them occasionally as we're in such a hard-water area Angry)

Aromatherapy associates bath oils - I got the set of all of them (£65 but you can usually find a discount, several places have it) and they all smell amazing - my dd loves them too. It’s lasted 2-3 months per set (probably manage one or two baths a week).

Moononthehill28 · 30/12/2018 07:45

Never heard of an air fryer or instant pot. What are they? I got a heated throw recently and love it. Also got an Electric blanket, but find it too hot.
I would love to find a really good cappuccino maker. Any recommendations?

Moononthehill28 · 30/12/2018 08:11

SayNoToCarrots · 30/12/2018 08:53

A PowerPoint slide clicker 😂 (I'm a teacher)

rightreckoner · 30/12/2018 08:59

Thought of one yesterday - electric screwdriver from Braun. Makes flat pack tasks bearable. I only need to use it once a year or so but when I do I’m glad I have it.

rabbitfoodadvocate · 30/12/2018 09:05

Another vote for a Brita water filter!

cricketmum84 · 30/12/2018 09:22

My kindle - although DH gets grumpy when I'm reading all night and not listening to him.

Air fryer - love love love chips done in this! Apart from kettle it's the one bit of kitchen equipment I can't live without.

I wanted a soup maker for ages, got bought one Christmas 2017, used it once and my carrots stuck to the bottom. Hasn't been out of the box since.

mommybear1 · 30/12/2018 09:28

I love this thread and so does my amazon basket 😂. I'd recommend the Morphy Richards soup and saute gadget - brilliant. What airfryer do people recommend as I am vvvvvv tempted Grin

Somersetlady · 30/12/2018 10:10

The highest thread count bedding (might get it in the sales for £100) or feather duvet if you don’t already have them.
