Help... At ILs on my birthday

And I'm sat here bored shitless, anxious and paranoid.

FIL, DH and I had a falling out a few years ago and I feel like I'm in eggshells constantly. And my paranoia is working overtime.

FIL asked DH did he want wine. DH said no as he needs to drop the car at the hotel. And that's it. No asking me. BIL (golden boy who cant do wrong) is wandering around with a drink and I just feel shit

I want to be at home with my parents.

It's my birthday and it may as well be any other fucking day. I basically got a bar of soap for my birthday from them...

fucking argg

BuggerOff is my wife, these days we come as a package, are you going to make her welcome?” This was met with silence. So he said “if I leave now I won’t be back...” still silence so we left.... and he never went back!

What a superb DH

He's a keeper

Hilarious...

I'm desperate to try out that fabulous bar of soap you gave me 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

Op I took my own mini bottles of wine to in laws last year and my own glass.

This may sound v rude.

But years of rudeness from them, never having what dh and I like to drink in.. And giving us glasses of thickest plastic I can barely get lips round. Now if they were the tiniest bit nice I would drink anything and out of anything. But we get it rammed down our throats how amazing and sophisticated they are, and how much better they are because they are wealthy.

When fil as ever offered me the only drink they ever do offer me which I don't like I could say cheerily thanks ever so much but I have brought my own 😁😁

What a superb DH

He certainly is! Fortunately my late MIL, my wonderful FIL and his other set of grandparents (sadly no longer with us) were lovely and made me very much a part of the family.

I really hope OPs Day improved after the gin and she has a lovely Christmas.

My in laws are great usually. But I have to say when I came to drinking round there when it was DHs turn to drink and I drive the drink flowed. When is we my turn I would get one, maybe two classes of wine and the drinks cabinet for spirits never got opened 😳 They come to ours every Christmas Day and I make sure their glasses are never empty (unless they say no more).
