I'm sure there are others, but for the life of me, I can't recall any.

Oh I do love a good disaster movie.

I'll happily watch any of them to be honest I dont think I have a favourite.

Got to be the Poseidon Adventure.

The Core!

Towering Inferno! It’s a bit dated now (70s) but for some reason I love it. Paul Newman and Steve McQueen deliver on the eye candy too in my eye, which is an added bonus!

The Towering Inferno is my favourite too!

Ooh, I’m fond of The Core too, Esmeralda! The story is so ridiculous it’s bloody fantastic!

I love disaster movies. Favourites are 2012, The day after tomorrow, Dante's peak and twister. Wasn't to keen on San Andreas or Skyscraper

Titanic

Juggernaut-British made about a luxury liner. 1970/80’s. Line up of famous actors, Richard Harris, Anthony Hopkins, Omar Sharif, David Hemmings etc. Lots of witty humour with added peril. Dated now, of course, but still watch it on DVD occasionally.

Dante's peak. Followed closely by twister!

A 1960 film called The Last Voyage. Rarely shown sinking ship film. A woman is trapped, Woody Strode, bloody brilliant, cracking tension.

Another vote for the towing inferno. Recentish film would be 28 Days later

Oh, definitely Towering Inferno and The Poseidon Adventure, but I’m a seventies child. Shelley Winters doing that swim? Heartbreaking!

PS the Dr Who hat-tip to The Poseidon Adventure, The Voyage of the Damned, was a bloody good modern take on the disaster genre.
