Even with not that many followers some are earning enough for a huge house, stay at home father, big cars and always on holiday.

It seems like such easy work for so much money!

Well, what’s stopping you? Find something you’re passionate about and start blogging. But don’t underestimate the work involved, and also - very few, if any, are making enough money for the houses and cars from influencing alone.

Skyejuly · 03/12/2018 10:43

Can't think of much worse

TheLittlestLightOnTheTree · 03/12/2018 10:43

Which account are you looking at?

user1499173618 · 03/12/2018 10:43

Dream on! It’s not easy money.

DameBurleyChassis · 03/12/2018 10:46

I sometimes think it’d be great too, but then I realise how tidy my house would need to be all the time. Just the thought of it leaves me needing a lie down and a gin.

TchoupiEtDoudou · 03/12/2018 10:46

Are you serious?

I can't begin to imagine the amount of time and effort that goes into that level of blogging etc.

From thinking up themes, writing in a way that interests people and makes them want more, marketing yourself, permanently adjusting what you do and say to stay at the top of the game and make people continue to follow you and sponsors sponsor you.

I'm quite happy with my anonymous life.

UpstartCrow · 03/12/2018 10:46

They must be good if they can make you believe that.

ViragoKnows · 03/12/2018 10:47

So basically you just want to laze around and have an easy life with plenty of luxuries? Dont you have any real ambitions?

Habba · 03/12/2018 10:47

I don't think I can mention the account. But showing a Aldi shop and primark is not hard work.

I agree blogging is hard word, not just shopping and showing that.

I guess my kids are too old for it.

A few months ago it was revealed some of the 'big names' were living in social housing ( nothing wrong with that at all) but they had you fooled I bet!

One of those families was the one you are clearly thinking of here!

TheLittlestLightOnTheTree · 03/12/2018 10:50

They sell their children's childhood....you'd want that?

Habba · 03/12/2018 10:52

The one I'm thinking of moved out of shared ownership into an oil exec house and DH has given up working.

All she does is easy stuff, she isn't a blogger thinking up anything other than doing the same old stuff over and over again.

I'm not really serious, but does seem like such easy work and some are getting very well paid for all these ads.

MarshaBradyo · 03/12/2018 10:52

You want to do a child based one?

Or you could do content on something else

TheLittlestLightOnTheTree · 03/12/2018 10:54

Yes but look up her accounts on companies house

Where is her money coming from cos it's not from vlogging!!

Habba · 03/12/2018 10:55

I understand selling your children's privacy is the way to make easy money.

Honestly I wouldn't be cut throat enough to do an ad for any old product even if I didn't like they seem to do.

OP posts:
Habba · 03/12/2018 10:57

Her accounts on companies house don't show what she is paying herself, accountant on another forum have explained it.

Anyway sorry was just light hearted 🤷

OP posts:
ViragoKnows · 03/12/2018 11:13

Its not that lighthearted if touve been reading analyses of these influencers’ filed accounts Shock

Stefoscope · 03/12/2018 11:54

I imagine if she's doing so well blogging about 'easy' stuff, she must have a particularly engaging personality to attract more followers than others doing similar. I would find it difficult to get enthusiastic about unpacking an Aldi shop! Add to that when you get more well-known you probably get a ton of trolls commenting on your vlogs. I do think there's a skill to editing these videos as well. It is fairly easy to setup a youtube account and try it out though, so if you fancy it why not have a go?

TheLittlestLightOnTheTree · 03/12/2018 11:59

Instagram seems to be more popular than YouTube these days

I quite enjoy the shopping hauls. Interesting to see what others buy

NameChanger22 · 03/12/2018 12:00

I think some of their money comes from 'merch'. Some of the ones I watch are always promoting their crappy t-shirts and leggings. It must take time and effort to set that up and who buys that crap?

Vlogging seems a bit too much like your selling your soul (or your kid's souls) to me.

If you want to do it though, why not?

FitzChivalryFarseer · 03/12/2018 12:03

I have always joked that when I moved into the industry I am in that I had sold my soul to the devil. Instagram and YouTube would be several steps too far for me, to use my life as a permanent advertorial.

Sausagefingers9 · 03/12/2018 12:07

I have a pretty popular Instagram account for my cat and it takes more effort than you think to keep it running and popular. Can be very tedious too.

halfwitpicker · 03/12/2018 12:09

So basically you just want to laze around and have an easy life with plenty of luxuries? Dont you have any real ambitions?

^^

Er.... Yeah? Hmm

MarshaBradyo · 03/12/2018 12:10

You could be one of those accounts that post an image of a biscuit (for eg) every day

Even they do well

catlass · 03/12/2018 12:10

I know the vlogger you're referring to and I often think about all the Mum vloggers/Instagrammers... I sure hope it's worth pimping out their children's childhoods, safety and a right to privacy.
