Good that the consultant is happy, not good about the nausea but hopefully it will be sorted quickly. Long may the good progress continue!

InflagranteDelicto · 07/12/2018 17:44

Lovely to see you awake and enjoying food. Thanks for the updates, the fabulous pa is fabulous.

If we keep the champagne corks popping no one will heard the muffled screams of the car park patrol chap😉

NancyWho · 07/12/2018 19:15

Excellent to see you and looking so very alert too. Don't worry we parked the bus across 4 spaces.
I'm sure the hospital won't mind.

WheresTheCoffee · 07/12/2018 20:18

Great to hear from you so soon Smile

FuckBrussel · 07/12/2018 21:30

Hope you have a good night, @Seafour!

@Inflagrante, about that - could somebody else take a turn at sitting on him? I really need a wee...

Andro · 07/12/2018 21:42

@FuckBrussel - I've got him! Can you grab me a glass of bubbly on your way back?

TofuPanda · 07/12/2018 21:48

Seafour Even if you’re not up to posting, we’re all here waiting until you feel better. I hope you read this, and it lifts your spirits if they need lifting. And when I say ‘spirits’ I’m not talking about gin and the like, though that does sound like a good idea Xmas Grin

Seafour · 07/12/2018 22:14

I'm really struggling with pain, I feel as if seven shades of hell are visiting me, I have a ketamine background drip, morphine pump and now some additional oral ketamine too, all on top of my usual drugs too.

Haggisfish · 07/12/2018 22:30

My god you must be high as a kite! Do you tolerate them well? I love the opiates-I get a definite buzz but they do fuck all for dh, even his pain!

TofuPanda · 07/12/2018 22:30

I hope it starts to ease soon. It will pass. Do you feel well looked after? I imagine there’s lots going on around you. I’m sitting surrounded by candles tonight, and trying to feel festive. My DD came downstairs and commented on how lovely it was. I have some crap going on in my life that I can’t control, and it’s really affecting me. It’s nothing like what you’re going through, but lighting the candles and thinking about decorating for Christmas is helping. I hope you can find something to take you away from the pain.

Andro · 07/12/2018 23:22

Seafour, I just want to give you a huge hug...but it would probably make your pain worse..

sunshineandthunder · 07/12/2018 23:24

Hang in there Seafour. You've come through so much in the last couple of days, no wonder you're feeling battered, bruised and sore.

Unmumsnetty hugs and Thanks for you, I hope you have a restful night x

InflagranteDelicto · 07/12/2018 23:33

Hang in there. I'm not up for much longer, but shall I sit here a while and stroke your hand? Pain is a bugger, it's exhausting, but it will pass. I often use distraction with my children, does it help to think of a favourite place? Can you picture it, imagine the smells, the feel of the air on your face, the sounds?

It will pass, but we're all here with you. You're not alone.

redastherose · 08/12/2018 00:33

@Seafour I've been reading from the start - so happy to see that you made it out the other side. The pain is a bugger, hope they can make you more comfortable shortly. Hope there's still room on the bus, I need a mince pie and a glass or two to celebrate. I have a lovely Black Labrador boy with amazingly soft and velvety ears who would love to sit and be stroked (only for as long as he chooses obvs.). He's always (and I mean always) up for a long walk in the countryside so happy for you to come along with us whenever you want. His favourite walk is up through a beautiful glen to the waterfall at its head, majestic trees line both sides of the glen and streams tumble down to the river that runs along its base.

Izzy24 · 08/12/2018 01:30

Very sorry to hear about the pain. Hopefully by now it’s a bit more under control. Even better if you’re able to sleep for a while.

Keep picturing the fantastic Christmas you’re going to have now. And quite a few dog walks on offer for you it seems!

Wasn’t someone having a baby today (yesterday)?

If we could ask along the bus ...?

MintyT · 08/12/2018 04:18

Please you through the worst of it, now the hard work starts, whenever I think of you I imagine an Autumn leaf, maybe it's because of what you said way upthread about having a walk outside, anyway wishing you well sending love and strength and all that. Please remember to write the book

RosieRoo4 · 08/12/2018 05:52

I’m up and have been for a couple of hours due to early waking insomnia, I was feeling quite sorry for myself until I read your whole thread, wow, you are an amazing lady, an absolute fighter, I hope you wake feeling better this morning.
Sending you love ❤️

NancyWho · 08/12/2018 06:13

Seafour you poor thing, have you told them about the pain and can they do anymore for you? Please do ask, I hope you managed to sleep.

poshredrose · 08/12/2018 08:16

Another one delurking. I have been following your posts and your amazing story. What a path you have been on, how strong you have been throughout.
I hope the pain eases for you soon and your recovery from the op is swift and event free.

Stopyourhavering64 · 08/12/2018 09:09

Morning seafour sorry you've been having such an issue with pain....hope they can get on top of it this morning and that you're home as soon as possible

JustanotherCHRISTMASuser01 · 08/12/2018 09:41

I fear we may have got you in trouble last night seafour, somebody and I'm not going to name names here decided to take the party into the hospital something about finding the dishy surgeon! We managed it in the end and he looked awesome with the Christmas things we decorated him with. The other patients found it very fun though!

InflagranteDelicto · 08/12/2018 09:46

GrinGrinGrin

Morning Seafour, I hope you managed some sleep.

The bus is beginning to stir, coffee is brewing, tea is in the pot and I'm thinking bacon butties are needed Brew

purpleunicorns · 08/12/2018 09:55

I'm jumping back off the bus as I've been up all night throwing up and I don't want to be spreading my germs about. Hopefully it's just a 24 hour bug and I'll be back onboard soon.

I hope you've had a comfortable night and the pain had started to ease a bit Brew

Bobbiepin · 08/12/2018 10:34

@Gruber is having the baby. Hope you're doing ok.

Izzy24 · 08/12/2018 11:21

@BobbiepinSmile

Thanks for that.
@Gruber - any news?

@Seafour
Hope your surgeon wasn’t too traumatised by the bus crew.......

And I hope you are as well as can be expected. Are you a Strictly fan? I’m not, but I think I may watch tonight. Did anyone bring a tv?
