Sounds so scary Sad
But you are in the best place. Hope you are doing better soon. Flowers

Don’t be afraid to sleep, it can be a distraction from thinking what if. I regularly have breathing difficulties among other things as I’m in heart failure, and I find that falling asleep takes me out of vicious circle thinking when I’m having an episode.

RyderWhiteSwan · 22/11/2018 06:57

Morning OP. You will get well. You will wake up after sleep. Sleep is healing, so grab it when you can! Flowers

OzzyMadBat · 22/11/2018 07:00

Hello OP
Thinking of you. I went to hospital two weeks ago as I couldn't breathe and was absolutely terrified (am better now but genuinely thought I was a goner Sad) I do hope you make a recovery and feel better soon xx

KristinaM · 22/11/2018 07:29

I hope they can get you some meds and you stop vomiting soon.

Dauphinois · 22/11/2018 07:31

I think the drugs make you vomit, you poor thing. I remember ds vomiting endlessly after having IV treatment for a severe asthma attack.

Really hope things improve for you soon Thanks

Hope you feel better soon. You’re doing better than you think if you were drifting in and out of consciousness before even if you’re vomiting now you’re coherent and ‘with it’ .

EmeraldVillage · 22/11/2018 07:44

Sounds awful OP hang on in there

user1457017537 · 22/11/2018 07:47

You are in the right place and will get better it just takes time. You may be allergic to the antibiotics and that is making you sick. They can give you something for sickness.
Thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery.

CarbyDiem · 22/11/2018 07:51

DaffydownClock · 22/11/2018 07:51

headinhands · 22/11/2018 07:55

Oh sweetheart, so scary. NHS are fab aren't they. Hope your vomiting has settled a bit. Maybe you'll feel a bit hungry later?

Wallywobbles · 22/11/2018 07:55

Seafour what's wrong? Pneumonia or something more? I've had it a couple of times and the vomiting is new to me? Is it a reaction to the antibiotics? But god I felt fucking grim with it the second time.

PurpleWithRed · 22/11/2018 07:58

Biggest bunch of Flowers to you, saving the chocolates for when you are more stable.

ContessaHallelujahSparklehorse · 22/11/2018 08:03

I hope they give you some antiemetics and that you manage to get some sleep, Seafour; it really would do you a world of good.

Incidentally, I don't know how they're administering the antibiotics to you, but they can be administered by inhalation (i.e. through the ventilator mouthpiece) instead of by IV and that can reduce the extent/severity of side effects such as vomiting, because the drug just goes to the lung where it's needed. Maybe they'll try that next.

In any case I hope you start to feel a bit better very soon xx
