Just read this and didn't want to just go without sending all my best wishes to you. Hope you soon feel better. I'm pleased that some Mumsnetters were awake in the middle of the night to reply to you as well xx

YeOldeTrout · 22/11/2018 08:19

are the IV antiBs why OP is vomitting so much?

pretzelflipzaretheanswer · 22/11/2018 08:21

ScoobyGangMember · 22/11/2018 08:21

ContessaHallelujahSparklehorse · 22/11/2018 08:57

are the IV antiBs why OP is vomitting so much?

Possibly - systemic abx can be harder in the body than inhaled (I used to work in this area so remember that bit). Depends on the abx, and the person, and the dose though.

How are you feeling OP?

OffToBedhampton · 22/11/2018 08:57

Hi OP, hand holding here too. Sorry it sounds bloody scary. Glad you got nurses with you X Don't think to too far ahead, just hour at a time. Can you drift off to sleep once vomitting stopped or watch any TV? wishing you a comfortable day xxx

DramaAlpaca · 22/11/2018 09:00

Poor you. Thinking of you - hope the meds kick in soon so you start to mend.

Keep posting, we're here. You said you're reading - what book? Always on the lookout for good books for book club!!

OffToBedhampton · 22/11/2018 11:33

Ugh that sounds rotten. Are the nurses telling you what they can do to help settle the vomitting? Is your DH back with you now or so he be in later after lunch. Really feeling for you 😥SadFlowers

TheFuckfaceWhisperer · 22/11/2018 11:53

I had 5 days in hospital two weeks ago and the NHS really are amazing. Hope you feel better soon, OP. It's really scary those first few days when not much seems to be improving, but once the antibiotics kick in and you turn a corner you'll feel so much better.

Wishing you a speedy recovery

FestiveForestieraNoel · 22/11/2018 11:53

That's awful Seafour. You are on my mind this morning.

Seafour · 22/11/2018 12:11

Hi, reading as in your lovely posts.

I've had regular anti sickness meds but nothing is working.

I have my PA here with me, DH will be here later.

So sorry you're having such a miserable time :( Flowers

welcometonarnia · 22/11/2018 12:15

Hope you feel better, OP. Sounds absolutely awful.

Coldhandscoldheart · 22/11/2018 12:53

Just thought I’d check back in, I’ve missed the bus after the worlds longest, most boring and pointless meeting. Sorry you’re not feeling better.

user1457017537 · 22/11/2018 13:50

I hope you are resting and not working in ITU Flowers

FloatingthroughSpace · 22/11/2018 13:57

Oh Seafour, poor you. I have just name changed but regular on the low carb boot camps.
As you are feeling so poorly I hope you won't mind me saying to posters who don't know you, that you have complex health needs and are a wheelchair user - and super brave. Get well soon x

FestiveForestieraNoel · 22/11/2018 14:23

I was going to say to coldhands - not to worry at least it's Friday but it appears that today is Thursday!

Seafour hope there's been some respite from the sickness now. You poor thing.
