Welcome FabulousPA. I too read SPA so have great hopes for some beauty treatments on the journey. My toe polish is dire, but my hands were done yesterday so that's something.

Great news on the blood from Sea. May I ask how you chose this user name?

(settles in for lyrical tale)

gigglingHyena · 05/12/2018 15:53

Speeding the blood bikes along the way.

yawning801 · 05/12/2018 16:35

Welcome fabulouspa, and good luck for tomorrow Seafour

Andro · 05/12/2018 16:41

Thefabulouspa - welcome, as you may know, we've heard a lot about you Grin

Good to see that they've got your blood Seafour, one more hurdle crossed.

DMCWelshCakes · 05/12/2018 16:44

Is it too late to delurk and get a seat on the bus? I've been following since the beginning and I'm truly in awe of you Seafour

I can contribute welshcakes to the buffet! I might bring the WelshCakeCats if they promise 5o behave themselves.

Seafour · 05/12/2018 17:32

Just popped in for a quick update. Got the phone call at 2:00pm to say that they have enough blood in the correct quantity and there are two ICU beds so mine has protected status. Looks as if this shit is really happening.

I've been wallowing in a lovely bath, have conditioned the fuck out of the hair on my head, removed the hair from my legs arm pits, toes, arse!!! and of course carried out essential growler maintenance.
Unfortunately my surgeon is very very dishy and smells lovely he will have to spend the whole of tomorrow in close proximity to my rear end, it's slightly mortifying. I bet he even looks good in scrubs, damn it, my arse used to be muscular and very very pert, years of sitting on it have ravaged it. Apologies to any theatre staff who happen to be lurking it won't be a pretty sight.

when I get up tomorrow morning I will be listening to:

Handel's Messiah - (remind me sometime to tell you why)

The following albums will be on tomorrow's playlist

Van Morrison - the essential album 2015

Fleet foxes - 2008 album (you can cry whilst listening to White Winter Hymnal)

Eddie from Ohio - looking out the fishbowl

Camera Obscura - My maudlin career 2009

The Unthanks - Here's the tender coming

Songs

Oasis - what's the story morning glory

Limee and family cookin - Hold me & lollipop

I did warn you about the music!

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, take care

Bobbiepin · 05/12/2018 17:41

Praying for you. Good luck

ColetteTatou · 05/12/2018 18:26

Thinking of you tomorrow Sea. Your playlist is right up my street. Do you like Jackie Oates? I've just booked a harmony workshop with her for next year. Can we do singing on the bus?

Andro · 05/12/2018 18:29

Seafour - that's an interesting collection of music, Handel's Messiah is phenomenal!

Best of luck for tomorrow, you will in my thoughts and prayers until you're back talking to us.

DMCWelshCakes · 05/12/2018 18:33

If we're going to be sining on the bus, I know the entire alto part to Handel's Messiah and have spare copies of the score to share out.

Do you think we can fit an orchestra on the bus?

Applesandpears23 · 05/12/2018 18:42

What a great playlist. I have spotify so I will join you tomorrow on the musical part of your journey.

Shadowfax07 · 05/12/2018 19:03

Delurking to wish you all the best for tomorrow, Seafour, and I'll be joining DMC in the alto section, if I may? I've got my own copy of The Messiah that I can bring.

Yadda · 05/12/2018 19:07

Hi, late to the party. I've been lurking but wanted to post to wish you all the very best for your surgery. Your story is inspirational, you've been through so much. I'll be thinking of you and sending you positive thoughts.

Almostfifty · 05/12/2018 19:08

Keeping everything crossed.

Janleverton · 05/12/2018 19:13

And you’ve reminded me to give blood. Feel awful because missed my appointment last week because kids ill. I have A negative blood with antibodies (anti C and anti d I think). Was catching up and feeling increasingly shite for not having gone last week! Will ring NBS and make another appointment.

JustanotherCHRISTMASuser01 · 05/12/2018 19:17

Sending you lots of good wishes for tomorrow, you enjoy that dishy surgeon!
Your handsome man has got lots of us willing to hold his hand on the bus tomorrow if he fancies a glass of fizz.
Xx

NancyWho · 05/12/2018 19:27

Brilliant music seafour.
So it's on, I'll be thinking of you.
I don't do praying but I am willing you well.

Not sure I can do one small suitcase but I'm trying, dammit.

Piglet208 · 05/12/2018 19:30

I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I promise not to sing along to the music. I wouldn't want to hurt your ears. May the handsome surgeon smile sweetly at you before you go under and appreciate your grooming efforts. Good Luck!

SandunesAndRainclouds · 05/12/2018 19:33

Good luck for tomorrow Flowers

Mrspotter12 · 05/12/2018 20:57

Just wanted to say hi and good luck for tomorrow! I found your thread this evening and would love to get in the bus, with my fur babies if they aren't too big?
