I’ve just birthed a fossilised tampon...what do I do?!

Hello.
I’m so embarrassed about this. Have had loads of weird discharge for the past few days and was getting really worried- suddenly this happened. I feel quite well and everything but could I now have an infection or something? It must have been in there for two weeks.

Do I just presume I will now be fine or should I seek official advice (seriously hoping I don’t have to).

Excuse me while I now go and 🤢

I know some women do a handstand in the shower and aim the hose 'up there'.

QueenoftheNights · 18/11/2018 17:18

Again, the NHS disagrees with you.

You mean water alone is okay or rinsing outside isn't okay? (Confused)

ChantillyLaceAverageFace · 18/11/2018 17:20

Water is natural and fine imo. Just rinsing outside isn't clean at all imo

If your constantly using soap on and in your bits- you will get into a vicious/fishy cycle because you're washing away all the natural juices. Don't stick soap up your fanny!

You're** 😬

Well this thread proves my theory that people who write IMO are arseholes - unwashed hairy poo crumbed arseholes.

IMO

The PP said jusy cleaning outside ‘isn’t clean at all’. The NHS says that just cleaning outside is perfectly sufficient.

ChantillyLaceAverageFace · 18/11/2018 17:22

Please wash your poo crumb arsehole though 🤣

CaliHummers · 18/11/2018 17:22

Just during my normal shower, insert a finger and remove any discharge? I'm not scrubbing it with a sponge or using soap or anything - I honestly thought this was a normal thing to do

No, it's not normal (unless you're wanking rather than cleaning). And unless you've made sure your hands are clean, especially under the fingernails, you're more likely to give yourself an infection rather than avoid one.

Cantthinkofabloodyname · 18/11/2018 17:24

I discovered a second tampon inside myself once. I removed one and noticed the second string as I wiped with the loo roll. The smell was absolutely rank when I removed it. I wondered for quite a while how I didn't notice a stray tampon in there, but then when I had my latest smear test I was told that I have a tilted cervix. So that may be the reason why I had one hidden in there.... I prefer that to the idea of having a cavernous chuff 🤣

YouOKHun · 18/11/2018 17:29

You’re all filthy bitches; not ONE of you has mentioned polishing your cervix with Brasso™️.

Cherries101 · 18/11/2018 17:30

How do you not notice a tampon inside you? Not having a go, I’m genuinely curious.

Shirleyphallus · 18/11/2018 17:31

How do you not notice a tampon inside you?

You shouldn’t be able to feel a tampon inside you. If you can, it isn’t up high enough.

So it’s actually quite easy to do, especially if the string has come out or is coiled up up there too

ItWentInMyEye · 18/11/2018 17:33

Does anyone else think they can smell these things right as they read it? Cos stinky tampons and musky cocks are all I can smell 🧐🤢

FourRustedHorses · 18/11/2018 17:34

I am wondering if you use the slimmer/lighter ones it would be easier to forget/not feel it? super plus ones are rather large and I notice I'm wearing them but on the smaller ones so I never use the smaller ones I switch to pads if its that light.

Threewheeler1 · 18/11/2018 17:36

PiperPublickOccurrences

And a bit of Karcher jetwashing for special daysGrin

Seriously OP, you are not alone having done this!
If the string goes awol it isn't that hard to do. Certainly no shame attached!
Hope you're feeling alright.

birdsdestiny · 18/11/2018 17:39

Is it not really dangerous to aim a shower up there? You know like blowing up there is a no no. I am sure they covered it on Casualty onceGrin

PlateOfBiscuits · 18/11/2018 17:41

’I now check everyone’
I thought you meant you check other people at first allthegood!

SwedishEdith · 18/11/2018 17:42

When I have a tampon in I’m very aware of it and can feel it in there

I always thought if you could feel it, it wasn't in properly.

@QueenoftheNights, I hear you. In this case, I think I panicked, and I'm guilty of not reading the full thread. Glad OP is feeling fine.

SilentIsla · 18/11/2018 17:54

Not reading the whole thread is actually advisable in the case of this one.🤢

dontalltalkatonce · 18/11/2018 17:55

Why not let your husband or partner clean your vag out with his tongue. Feels great, too. I wonder how some of these people have sex if they think a cock is nasty or fire water up their own minge.

Sugar there's no need to go to a hospital. She feels fine in herself. People do this all the time. One poster long ago even had sex with her mooncup in place (I know, can you imagine how tiny his cock is for that to occur? Either that or that's one huge chuff).

AlexaAmbidextra · 18/11/2018 17:56

Shower heads are notorious for harbouring bacteria. Those who are directing the shower spray up their vagina for ‘cleanliness’ are going the best way towards giving themselves an unpleasant dose of salpingitis. 😱

Sootikin...Pouch of Douglas...who knew! Everyday’s a school day on MN!

Ohyesiam · 18/11/2018 17:58

The worry is Toxic Shock Syndrome, Keenan eye onyour Temperature and try to fish out the string.
