I saw the Stone Roses in Belfast Maysfield, Leisure centre and they were diabolical.
Half Man Half Biscuit at Queens University SU were a close second.

Snap in the GMex Manchester, was talked into it by a friend who had a spare ticket. It was shockingly bad, there was about 50 people there!

I've seen HMHB, and they were GREAT!

I saw Michelle Shocked and didn't enjoy it at all, which I was gutted about at the time. But I was pregnant and feeling not-too-good, so it might have been me not her.

I've seen my favourite (when I was a teen) band a LOT (because they've obviously pissed all the money away and are still touring - I was a teen a loooong time ago) and I love them, but they've never played my two or three favouritest tracks or offered to come home with me. Bastards!.

Lady Gaga is both one of my best (Monsters Ball Tour) and worst (ArtPop Ball)

ArtPop in Manchester about four years ago, really horrific weather but couldn't miss it, she was 40 mins late on, support dreadful anyway, announced she "wasn't sober" spent lots of time screeching her own name into the mic and parts of it were clearly lipsynced.

Expensive and dire. Had to walk out before the end to get the last train as she was so late

TattiusTeddius · 09/11/2018 20:20

Meat loaf was shocking. I'd rather push needles into my eyes than watch him again

Cocolepew · 09/11/2018 20:25

Onward I saw Michelle Shocked last year doing and she was fabulous Grin

Placebo in Sheffield.
Wasn't so much bad as just really really dull.

SharkSave · 09/11/2018 20:30

Dead Weather in Birmingham or Ian Brown at the isle of Wight festival. Close call!

Cocolepew · 09/11/2018 20:31

I left the Stone Roses half way through for a spliff but it didnt improve. I think they had partaken before the gig.

A friend decided she wanted to see Blue for her birthday present from me years ago. It was dire. Totally dire. They were dreadful. Never forgotten how bad it was. .

AndSheWas85 · 09/11/2018 20:32

Happy Mondays after they reformed in the'00.
Ryder didn't have a fucking breeze what was going on, and stood on the stage reading lyrics off an A4 sheet of shakey handheld paper, I'm sure he has done worse for money, or no money at all .

But if Bez is gonna be the genuine highlight of a show, you know it's time to leave.

As we did, soon after the 2nd "song" started.

MissLadyM · 09/11/2018 20:49

Sadly Billy Idol a few years ago. Boring and bad sound quality. I left after a few songs

causeimunderyourspell · 09/11/2018 20:51

Iggy Pop. Jeez just bloody stop it man!

mossyroundhill · 09/11/2018 20:58

Prodigy at Glastonbury 2009
Just sounded like 4,000 cars crashing into each other simultaneously in a giant electric fan with some screeching and lots of red smoke. And the crowd was fucking horrible. I'm sure the bloke next to me was deliberately shoving me as hard as he could- I was 20 and 5"5 and he was twice my height and probably 200lbs heavier than me. I had to leave as I thought I was going to suffocate. Knob.

Bluebellies · 09/11/2018 20:58

Badly Drawn Boy was shitfaced and just abused the audience whilst slurring through songs. D:Ream only played for 15 minutes, I’ve disliked Brian Cox ever since. At a Fun Lovin’ Criminals gig Huey got hit on the head with a beer cup and got a right strop on, can’t really blame him!

MissLadyM · 09/11/2018 21:00

Did D-ream play 'Things can only get better's 5 times? 😂

BlueUggs · 09/11/2018 21:00

Duran Duran were awful!

twoheaped · 09/11/2018 21:00

Van Morrison at MEN Arena.
Mumbled the whole way through. Was a massive disappointment.

BubblegumFactory · 09/11/2018 21:03

Motörhead at Manchester Apollo around 1986/7. Just awful. And I was a rock chick at the time. I was there under pressure.
Sadly also saw RHCP once when they were clearly off their tits. Only played for 40 mins or so and were pretty much booed off.

Corcra · 09/11/2018 21:04

Massive attack. I think they are class but they just weren’t into it on the night I saw them. Pity.

Theyprobablywill · 09/11/2018 21:05

Tina Turner, went with a friend who had a spare ticket because she'd split up with her partner and I felt sorry for her.

Can't remember where it was, but in a vast muddy field in London with thousands of people, stage was miles away I couldn't see a thing, , sound was shit and She did about 3 versions of steamy Windows, badly.

Years later my dh still taunts me by singing this.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 09/11/2018 21:05

Andrew WK at the Manchester academy. Was looking forward to the nostalga but it was dull as fuck.

ileclerc · 09/11/2018 21:07

Whitney at the O2 shortly before she died. Not my sort of music at all and for free tickets through work. It's was a total car crash and very sad to watch. I and a lot of others left.

Boyskeepswinging · 09/11/2018 21:08

Blur at the V Festival years ago. Made it obvious they didn't want to be there and powered through the set at such a pace that Song 2 lasted about 30 seconds Sad
I have to say I have also seen Blur do some great gigs which is why the V experience upset me so much - I knew exactly how great they could be live when they wanted to be.

bionicnemonic · 09/11/2018 21:11

Alien Sex Fend somewhere in Manchester...seated luckily, the flashing lights were so bright I had to shut my eyes, and I eventually nodded off!

mycatplotsdeath · 09/11/2018 21:12

Blur at Leeds festival were totally shit.

Van Morrison stormed of stage once because someone took a photo 🙄

Smashing pumpkins at s the MEN were appalling. I never made it to the end of that
