My children are out with their friends. Which means I can go to the gym.

Sorry - for me, it's all a bit of bollocks.

PinkHeart5914 · 30/10/2018 11:47

Tomorrow ghost crumpets for breakfast, me and the dc will carve pumpkins, then we have a Halloween party at soft play which we will dress up for. In the evening me and dh will have pumpkin pie and give out sweets to all the trick and treaters. 🎃🎃🎃🎃

ComtesseDeSpair · 30/10/2018 12:00

I’m dressing as Baphomet meets debauched Victorian and going to nightclub Hallowe’en nights to dance until dawn. At the weekend, anyway.

Tomorrow I’m helping run a community Hallowe’en party for the children on my estate; so I’ll tone down my costume a bit and will be on face painting duty.

I like Hallowe’en. As kids we all played dress up and had fun; I see no reason to stop doing it as an adult.

We’re having a bit of a party at home. Pizza and spooky cupcakes, we will play Halloween music and carve pumpkins.

implantsandaDyson · 30/10/2018 12:36

It's the kids midterm this week, so we have parties, cinema, museum trips planned. All the usual kerfuffle. We have a party at my parents then on Wednesday trick or treating. Basically a week of films, sweets and trips with a few sparklers thrown in. I do like this midterm week Grin

lucysmam · 30/10/2018 12:48

We're carving pumpkins and decorating spooky biscuits today (or at least we are when the girls shift their bums to join me in the kitchen...they're eating dinner at the mo).

Tomorrow there's a Halloween event on a local ish park so we'll walk there and back. Me and dd2 will trick or treat after spooky tea & dd1 will stay in, with her dad who'll come straight from work, to hand out sweets to any who knock here.

At some point between now & tomorrow evening, we'll decorate outside and put some decorations in the hallway Halloween Smile

cjt110 · 30/10/2018 12:50

Sod all. I hate it. And bonfire night.

DialsMavis · 30/10/2018 12:53

DD has a friend over after school so DH will feed them pizza, get them dressed up and take them trick or treating. Poor DS has to stay home and answer the door as he is too old to go trick or treating. Tonight we will do pumpkin an decorate the front garden a bit as it is a big thing in our area.

cjt110 · 30/10/2018 12:54

PinkHeart5914 I have arrived Halloween Grin

Namechange170518 · 30/10/2018 12:55

I'm working late. Husband is going to the gym. Young adult stepson will take 6Yr old out trick or treating

CuppaSarah · 30/10/2018 12:56

We're making Halloween biscuits tonight and carving pumpkins. Then tomorrow is trick or treating and endlessly answering the door to trick or treaters. Our area is very popular. Lots of people drive from all over town to our road. People go very all out on the street so I can see why.

There's a Halloween party at stay and play tomorrow too so we'll do that too.

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 30/10/2018 12:58

I'm gonna join cjt110 on the miserable buggers' bench. With the lights off so the TorTers think we're out.

IggyAce · 30/10/2018 13:05

We are off to Beamish for their Halloween evening, we went a few years ago and it was fantastic. While family is very excited.

cjt110 · 30/10/2018 13:06

Fortunately... Firstly MilkTwoSugarsThanks I have room on the bench for you - sit on down!

And Secondly, we live 4 floors up in a gated complex. Also, we're the furthest away from the gate so don't get any TorTers....

Although my old house was the best.... A manor house split into flats which was only accessible by entering the grounds via a woods known as Dungeon Woods.. (I shit you not) or through a cemetery. We never had anyone knock then either.... Halloween Wink

ohtheholidays · 30/10/2018 14:46

We're having a very busy Halloween.

I'm going to carve pumpkins with our DC today when they get home from school.

In the day whilst the DC are at school we'll decorate all of the house and garden, once our DC get home we'll give them a light tea and then get them ready to go trick or treating,my DH will take them whilst I stay here and give out sweets to the trick or treaters,we'll do that for a couple of hours and then my DH will bring the DC home and we'll get in the decorations from the garden before we go to our friends Halloween party.

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 30/10/2018 14:54

it's BONKERS where we live. All the kids and half the parents and a fair few dogs out all dressed up.

Dh aren't bothered and we don't have kids....so we go for our flu shots and then go and hide in the pub Grin

The cats will be hiding in the basement. Lights off and doorbell disconnected. Still have eyes like saucers when we get in though as they can hear all the kerfuffle outside.

theboxofdelights · 30/10/2018 14:57

We are on holiday, DD was initially gutted to be missing Halloween with her friends but she has got over it thank goodness and I escape it so all is well.

TroysMammy · 30/10/2018 14:58

Hiding.

SecretWitch · 30/10/2018 15:03

We will do a few hours of school then put costumes on for early dinner out. Meet at my friend’s house, the older teens will take the younger ones trick or treating. Friend’s husband will have built fire in fire pit, mulled cider and hot nibbly things passed around. Everything done by 8:30. Home for the real fun to begin..👻🎃👻

QueenOfMyWorld · 30/10/2018 15:06

Mini Halloween party later for ds and his friend and cousins then taking ds trick or treating tomorrow 👻👽🕸🎃🕷

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 30/10/2018 15:10

Trick or treating then McDonald's. We can't start until after 6 though, as DD has a SATs booster and then they both have playscheme.

YouBetterWOooOooOoo · 30/10/2018 16:10

DD has a taster session at nursery, she'll wear a little costume for that. Then we'll decorate the house (and get out the smoke machine!!) for trick or treaters. Then in the early evening I'll scoot off as I'm a scare actor in a local scare event. Only small fry, not paid but great fun (but bloody hell it's nippy out!)

MiddlingMum · 30/10/2018 16:32

Sod all. I hate it.

Me too, I'm a real misery about it. The only thing I do for Hallowe'en is put a sign on the door saying go away, we're not taking part. I can't leave the house in darkness and hide because I'm working from home and clients will be coming in and out.

AuntieStella · 30/10/2018 16:38

Running!

My run club meets on Wednesdays anyhow, so we'll be as normal but in fancy dress.

One of the DC might be going round to a friend's, others are 'meh' and probably doing nothing.

So I'm not putting a pumpkin out (but do have an emergency bag of mini-Haribo just in case, or just for home scoffing)

citiesofbismuth · 30/10/2018 18:06

I don't like people knocking on the door, so I'll go to bed at teatime with headphones on and watch a movie.
