I’m such a cliche - middle aged sahm crushing on the builder. I need strategies to look busy and keep out of the way.

Cb is the one I have the crush on and the one with no teeth.

But cg is the one I went for a drink with. It was only for one drink in the pub up the road. He'd sent cg home early, and we were chatting and he just asked and I didn't know what to say and then I thought "why not?" - so I did. I really don't think cb is interested, cg is I think.

We had a nice time, we seem to get on well but I'm aware I'm mid building work and there's potential for misunderstandings. I couldn't stay long and we left it with a "we should do this again" (cg) and a "have a lovely weekend, see you Monday" (me).

Tp is coming Monday. Allegedly. I'm beginning to wonder if he actually exists!

After I did dinner (for dc) I had a "wtf am I doing?" moment and am currently four packets of wotsits down, and halfway through a very big gin.

I don't know, I really don't. Cg is such a nice man and he's much closer in age to me than cb, and probably a far better prospect. But cb is the one who makes my stomach contract but he's young (still not sure of exact age), monosyllabic, most likely not interested - and I still don't know for sure if he's attached. I suspect not but I don't know.

I think the best thing would probably be to keep out of everyone's way :(

Yes the work is coming on really well actually. It probably sounds as if I'm hanging around all the time, but actually I mostly try to keep out of the way. Cg did say cb liked me but I promise you there are no obvious signs that he does - signs at all in fact!

I really really hope that there wasn't some wager on who could get you to go for a drink first..... and that he's not walking around all cock a hoop on Monday....
