I hate the long dark nights
Go in to work in the dark
Come home in the dark
I find myself getting quite anxious and low as the weeks go on
Try and embrace the cosy element but I miss daylight
I am the grinch I know Grin

Yes beanaseireann - I don't understand the trend for grey interiors either! So drab! And what about the plethora of grey clothes too? Light grey, silver grey, mid-grey, dark grey, etc. Such a difficult colour to wear and so dull!

I wear lots of grey, I find it very easy to match things with and like it on other people too, it seems to suit most, far easier than black. Not so keen on it for interiors though, I prefer warmer colours or white.

I do think grey has been done to death in interiors but doesn’t mean drab necessarily.

Love the Scandinavian grey/white interiors. Though they tend to actually have properly heated houses so maybe that makes the difference.

there was something in Saturday Telegraph property about designing houses for mental health, enough day light, enough views not another brick wall doesn't need to be rolling hills just signs of life, also how colour works with moods I don't think grey walls help to lift the spirits I think a few bright cushions might work better,

mumsnet should do some swaps there seem to be some folks in houses that are impossible to heat and then there are other mumsnetters who swear if a room goes above 14C they get a heat rash or something and need windows open maybe they should swap houses

We live in a basement and stare at a brick wall from our TV room window! Haloween Sad
