My husband thinks I'm funny but I HATE the word (autumnal) and if he uses it makes me mad or if I hear it make any eyes roll and I don't know why as it's just a word 😂..

Ugh, it's so twee and quaint. You're talking about your baby- of course it's fucking little. Just say "son" or "daughter" or "kid" or "baby" unless said child is a 5'8 1-year old with a full beard in which case, then, yes please make reference to their size/stature. If not, I'll assume your baby is little, the way most kids tend to be.
