My husband thinks I'm funny but I HATE the word (autumnal) and if he uses it makes me mad or if I hear it make any eyes roll and I don't know why as it's just a word 😂..

OP posts:

Poorly. One of those twee, infantilising words. Your child is either bloody ill or it's not.

Posters who don't like the word "moist" (there are lots of you) why don't you like it (just curious) There aren't any words I have a dislike to but I know lots of people who don't like "moist" but can't explain why!

Justanotheruser01 · 27/10/2018 06:04

A variance of my name (think roz for Rosie but not) I got called it at school and it brings memories of being bullied for some reason my dad calls it me and I've been known to fall out with him over it (after patiently explaining several times!!)

VenusClapTrap · 27/10/2018 07:52

Croissant, because I can’t say it, and I’m never quite sure how to anyway. Go the full French and it sounds affected. Anglicise it and it sounds a bit thick.

I like them, but if I have to say it out loud I’ll order the pain au raisin thanks.

Theferals89 · 27/10/2018 08:43

SNACK ( when falling out of my 3yo mouth for the 70,00000 time in a hour !!!)
Autumnal not of a massive concern, but then again not a favourite Smile

dogsdinnerlady · 27/10/2018 08:49

Often times
Anytime soon
(OK really two words but that's the point as the second half of each is redundant).

sophisticatedsarcasm · 27/10/2018 08:51

Babe 😵 I just hate it.....
one word I say all the time is obviously. Probably gets on peoples nerves 😂
A lot of the teenagers around here use the word snide. That gets on my goat all the time.

CarpetDiem · 27/10/2018 08:54

So
It's so overused and can easily be removed from every sentence it is used in.
Hate it, especially at the beginning of a sentence which seems to be catching on.
So this happened... Eugh Angry
