...then what colour is it, please?

I've been staring and staring at sofas until my brain is scrambled and I've forgotten what normal living rooms look like.

Don't want leather or grey. Ivory walls and wood floors, a clean slate.

What is a normal sofa, please?

Sort of an neutral oatmeal colour, also have wood floors and neutral walls but added colour with curtains and cushions.

Brown like a parcel: it's inoffensive.

A brick red/ orange colour that was fashionable in the late 90's.
I want a new one. It's perfectly comfortable and in good condition but I'm sick of the sight of it.

Terracotta! That's what it's called.

Ours is a lovely deep blue. I was a bit worried it would dominate but decor is very neutral and room is large; it works well. Also toddler-friendly so far 😁

Black Jumbo cord. It's a build it yourself one as we couldn't get a regular sofa in the house.
Only £600ish for two 3 seater sofas which we thought would be shit but a year on they still look like new and I love them.

Actually all three sofas are velvety, not the deep pile velvet but that sort of soft fuzzy fluffy velvet. We don’t have children and DP is fanatical about keeping them clean.

I have long hair and moult like a dog so that really sticks to the velvet, and also we have wooden floors so if you wear socks they pick up fluff and that sticks to the velvet.

I absolutely love them and they wash out spills ok. Not sure how they’d do with little grubby hands though. Mine are bad enough!

Mine's oatmeal/light yellow. I don't think I'd get that colour again, as it shows dirt too easily, however I've had it 20 years now.

Midnight blue velvet in and a dark mustard yellow arm chair.

Orange. With a duck egg tub chair.

Ours is pink with a zigzag pastel colour pattern footstool and cushions i love it.

Very dark red and a very dark red and gold

Blibblibs where did you get you build it yourself sofas from?

A reddy plum colour. 8 years old and need a good clean atm. I'd love to replace with a teal / kingfisher blue colour, but they were very expensive and still sound enough.

Living room has 2 mink linen ones and an orange velvet one.

Kitchen has a plum coloured dralon one.

Lime green in the back room. Only two years old but quite dirty already thanks to cats, also very plucked, again cats.

Beige in the front room with red accent colour in the cushions. I kinda wish we'd gone for grey but it was just at the time when every one was starting to get grey and we missed the fashion boat! I like them, but I'm aware its not 'on trend'!

Dark red. My parents bought dark-red furniture when I was very young and I now couldn't bear to have any other colour!

Sage green velvet. Love it!

Ours is an oatmeal colour with white walls and wooden floors . It’s got beachy cushions on. I thought it was best to go neutral sofa and good quality then change the cushions when I get bored!
