Clean sheets, preferably washed in a lovely smelling fabric conditioner.
Coffee and pain au raisin in Gail's or caffe Nero.
Tiny bottle of perfume from Next - they have surprisingly nice ones, my favourite is Eau Nude.
Day in the house on my own without kids or DH. Bliss.
Listening to podcasts on my commute.
Cashmere jumpers, can't bear scratchy/itchy wool or acrylic ones so worth it.
Watching cleaning videos on YouTube while I'm lying on the sofa with a cup of tea. Very therapeutic! I like Mrs Meldrum, Clutterbug, Do it on a dime

Taffeta · 24/10/2018 07:59

Coffee with a friend on day off when DC at school - every other week
Expensive coffee beans - keep in fridge/freezer and make proper coffee once a week
Glass of cold Albariño midweek if it’s been a rough day
Sushi for lunch - about once every three weeks

Pretamum · 24/10/2018 10:02

Decent coffee, slice of cake, good book and a squishy chair in a cosy coffee shop - there are so few of them where I live now that I'm going to make sure I schedule time in to do this next time I visit home.
If I'm feeling flush, a new dress from Oasis because they always fit like a dream and flatter my figure.
Day off work, no child or husband,Netflix, chocolate.
New books.
Treat yo' self.

GoldenBuns · 24/10/2018 10:11

I have magazine subscriptions for Elle Decoration and Red - I love it when they arrive on my door mat.

High(ish) end skincare and makeup.

In the winter I have candles (tea lights in holders) burning every evening. In the summer I try and have seasonal flowers.

Angie169 · 28/10/2018 09:09

I used to have a graze box delivered every two weeks but had to stop that because they kept on screwing up my order
Good quality coffee from Whittards, I also bought a coffee stick from there yesterday so I can have good coffee when I am at work.
Spend most of the day on Sunday cooking I'm freezing stuff so I can have it for lunch at work and just come home and microwave it for my tea also means a less pots to wash each day.

AhHere · 28/10/2018 14:38

I like picking up some nice soap from TK Maxx. Only costs a couple of pounds but smells amazing and lasts for ages. There's a brand that does the soaps in little music boxes for Christmas and is absolutely gorgeous.

Ioki · 28/10/2018 14:43

I get myself a Starbucks. Yes it's overpriced for what it is and the calories add up but my weekly treat of just sitting in the coffee shop with a coffee or a coffee and cake really helps clear my head.

Getting my nails done - I don't get them done very often, last time I got them done was in June, but I love having fresh sets. I don't feel very 'feminine' in myself and having a full set of nails really makes me feel great. I'm going to get a fresh set for Christmas!

Longdistance · 28/10/2018 14:54

Shellac for my nails every two or so weeks. I don’t go to the hairdressers often, as whatever I do to my hair it’s crap.

I do like to order my Clinique make up online, as love the free gifts that go in my drawer at work to use there.

AsleepAllDay · 28/10/2018 16:15

Fresh flowers, salmon fillets from M&S or Waitrose, a chocolate bar, getting my nails done, a new book (I read a lot on my phone so buy paperbacks occasionally), not really a treat but the occasional pack of fags, nice stationery, bath bombs from Lush, a cake and coffee

IncyWincyGrownUp · 28/10/2018 16:35

I’m about to pop out to see if the little local Sainsburys has anything in I can cook for dinner (been I’ll so didn’t get to the shops this weekend).

I’m going to buy myself some sports mixture while I’m there. Tiny cost but gives a fair bit of pleasure.

WehateMondays · 28/10/2018 16:38

I buy a bunch of fresh flowers every week, Lidl so some lovely flowers for £2-3 and they last ages.
I also like a nice candle. Oh and chocolate Grin

TeacupDrama · 28/10/2018 16:51

cheese from deli counter with nice bread or oatcakes
soak in bath
time alone with a book and a hot good coffee

PrivateParkin · 28/10/2018 19:26

Lovely thread. The only problem is I've now got loads of ideas for stuff to buy!

I love fresh flowers too. They do feel like a nice treat. There used to be a Little Waitrose near my train station (although it's turned into a co-op now - I think a lot of them have) anyway they often used to have flowers reduced in there at the end of the day. So on the way home from work you could get a bouquet that would have been £10-12 for £4-5 - it was ace. And their flowers last for ages. V annoying that it's now closed!

My other treat is these little cakes from M&S called Iced Tops - they really remind me of fairy cakes we used to have as kids. But I can't buy them often as I just scoff the whole pack.

Tentomidnight · 28/10/2018 19:56

I like to browse and buy myself a tub of fancy icecream, which I eat from a little bowl with my favourite spoon.

NameChanger22 · 28/10/2018 19:58

Coffee. Art. Craft materials. Good makeup.

SheilaHammond · 28/10/2018 20:10

Monthly pedicure. Get car properly valeted every 6 weeks. Kindle books quite often. Audible subscription for audio books to listen to in the car. Buying plants for the garden.

Marbles321 · 28/10/2018 20:23

An occasional (every 6-8 weeks) massage in my own home from a fabulous masseuse who does home visits. Feels so indulgent but is good value really and makes me feel wonderful Smile

Elflocks · 28/10/2018 20:27

I buy little bits of stationery.

WehateMondays · 28/10/2018 21:32

privateparkin I love those cakes from M&SGrin I too could eat a whole packet!

VenusClapTrap · 28/10/2018 21:49

Secretly listening to old a-ha albums from my yoof when nobody else is in the house. And/or perving over Morten on YouTube.

Bubba1234 · 29/10/2018 08:06

An m & s shoponce every few months
Just having something different there for the lunches that tastes heavenly

Harveyrabbit76 · 29/10/2018 13:19

New posh lipstick, MAC or Charlotte Tilbury. Maybe eye glitter that I will never wear :-) Posh coffee beans/coffee syrup. Cashmere bedsocks from White Company but once in a blue moon. On a cheap day, new lip balm or costa coffee

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/10/2018 13:25

Fountain pen cartridges
The Mac mini lipsticks are a tenner and a nice treat
A trip to Waterstones for a flat white and a cake
Flowers
Mini succulents - I'm not very green fingered so they don't live forever, but last a lot longer than a bunch of flowers!

TheLastNigel · 29/10/2018 13:42

Wine that costs more than my usual price point of £6...I've been known to go up to a tenner 😂
Posh dark chocolate rice cakes.
Shampoo and conditioner-I've got some normal schizzle for every day and some Kerastese for when I'm going out out (so it's covered in cobwebs obvs)

longwayoff · 29/10/2018 14:00

Flowers every 2 weeks. Montezuma chocolate once a month. A book or more (amazon) a week. M&S Cornish cruncher cheddar once a month.
