...sitting in bed drinking a very nice cup of tea made with twinings tea bags. Treating myself to a better class of tea.

OP posts:

A new pair of high heels every 3 months or so. We're talking New Look here, so maybe £35 tops.

A whole salmon when they are on offer which DH will fillet and freeze so we can have nice salmon dishes.

A fish pie.

LadyFlumpalot · 23/10/2018 17:53

Oh and sometimes Lidl has Hagen Daz Belgian Chocolate on offer.

AnnieAnoniMouse · 23/10/2018 17:54

When I really want to ‘treat myself’ I make a point of ignoring the massive list of ‘things that need doing’ and sit in the sun with a good coffee, or go for a walk in the woods.

Quilted loo roll

Ragwort · 23/10/2018 19:11

Decent coffee.

Treating myself to a nice lunch out (on my own).

Just bought the M & S Christmas sandwich and hidden it in the bottom of the fridge (under the veg!) so no one else in my family scoffs it.

An evening in, on my own, with my choice of tv.

There is a theme here of 'being on my own' Grin - best treat ever !

Lyricallie · 23/10/2018 19:15

I like to buy myself flowers (although I try and get them at the end of the day at Tesco) lovely orange/peachy roses!

Also good quality cheese. My FH and I make decent money and it’s just the two of us so we have a mantra of we’ll buy decent cheese haha!

Nice crisps
Red wine
A new cross stitch kit

sureitsgrand · 23/10/2018 19:46

Nice wine
Dark salted chocolate

KnitFastDieWarm · 23/10/2018 19:50

New yarn/other craft bits and bobs
Decent quality makeup - only just discovered this at 31 Blush
A cold, cold glass of dry Pinot Grigio
Cocktails and a taxi home with my girlfriends after a night out
Gig tickets and records
A crisp new magazine

Best of all, lying in bed on new sheets, reading a good book (also, usefully, free Grin)

QueenofLouisiana · 23/10/2018 19:56

I buy Twinnings teabags too- the strong breakfast ones. They cost a bit more, but I’ll happily give up a bottle of wine to pay for the tea.

I wanted to buy myself some Badedas (sp?) bath stuff earlier as my treat this month, but I’m trying to only buy cruelty free when I replace things. No leaping bunny on the box, so I resisted. (Alternative suggestions, which have the leaping bunny welcomed)

AirandMungBeans · 23/10/2018 19:57

I'm easily pleased, I treat myself to a wispy gold after the main shop each week.

AirandMungBeans · 23/10/2018 19:57

Wispa, not wispy!?,

AirandMungBeans · 23/10/2018 19:58

Argh where I'd that question mark and comma come from?!

AirandMungBeans · 23/10/2018 19:58

Oh ffs, I give up! I hate auto correct!

HeirOfNothingInParticular · 23/10/2018 20:31

OP, don't want to spoil your lovely post but I have not bought Twining's for quite a few years since they moved their production to Poland.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 23/10/2018 20:41

Coffee every Friday with a friend. Term-time only, but that hour or so is reasonably cheap therapy.

KnitFastDieWarm · 23/10/2018 20:54

Oh yeah, and most important of all, a rare proper, child-free, deep and meaningful catchup with my beloved oldest friend of 17 years. Her company refreshes, relaxes, empowers and betters me like no one else can Smile

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 23/10/2018 20:57

Breakfast in the Sainsbury's café.

A massage
Good quality plants from the local garden centre
Books
Facemasks
Time to myself
A weekend away from the children

OneStepMoreFun · 23/10/2018 23:15

A swim, sauna, jacuzzi and steam once a week with a good friend in a local pool that is always deserted first thing before work. We have the whole place to ourselves. We catch up, cackle our heads off and come out feeling fit. Always cheers me up.
