You clearly have to be in a certain age demographic to remember the round the twist theme tune.

I enjoyed it, nice bit of nostalgia. Slightly older DP has absolutely no idea which show I'm talking about.

Have you ever, ever felt like this....

Loved that show but...what does it have to do with Sainsbury’s Confused

Sandsnake · 19/10/2018 23:05

Me too! Clever ad, got my attention for sure.

FullFatCoke · 19/10/2018 23:05

Ha I've just seen it too! Memories! I loved that show but it was creepy.

Terfzilla · 19/10/2018 23:06

I went a little crazy when I heard it
Was so excited Blush

pastabest · 19/10/2018 23:06

Sainsburys are using it for their Halloween advert.

Anyone remember the episode with the furry hat that made wishes come true? It had eyes that opened.

Scared the living SHIT out of me.

BlackStar7 · 19/10/2018 23:15

I loved round the twist. I think the family lived in a lighthouse didn't they?

There was another 'weird' dhow I liked. It was called Eerie Indianna. The Tupperware episode was great.

davisday · 19/10/2018 23:15

I loved round the twist Grin

BlackStar7 · 19/10/2018 23:16

I don't remember the funny hat episode. The one I remember most was the cabbage one.

Essexgirlupnorth · 19/10/2018 23:16

Saw the actually lighthouse when I was in Australia was the only Brit on the tour and now one else had a clue what the tour guide was on about

liquidrevolution · 19/10/2018 23:19

I remember the one with all the seagull poo.

tangoed2 · 19/10/2018 23:20

Loved seeing the ad too! 29 year old here and when I mentioned it to a 26 year old they had no clue!!

MsOliphant · 19/10/2018 23:23

Was the cabbage one where babies kept appearing overnight in the cabbage patch? I think that’s the one that sticks in my mind too.

PickAChew · 19/10/2018 23:24

That's what it is!

I love this ad! Simple and fun.

MamaLovesMango · 19/10/2018 23:24

Ahhhhhhhhh I loved this. Paul Jennings was the guy that wrote it I believe. His books are awesome.

My 5yo would probably enjoy it actually....

Letsnotargue · 19/10/2018 23:24

Round the Twist has its own YouTube page with all the episodes on it...

Happy Weekend

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 19/10/2018 23:24

I'm 28 and love that advert too.

Brilliant advertising!

Terfzilla · 19/10/2018 23:25

Yes to the cabbage babies!

Wenttoseainasieve · 19/10/2018 23:34

Did I imagine it or was their an episode where a boy got pregnant, and another where a boy won a swimming competition by using his penis as a propellor?! Totally bizarre.

theyusedtocalltheblues · 19/10/2018 23:38

I always remember a scarecrow clown type thing that came alive and made awful noises .. that was horrendous at age 8 ... and wasn’t there an old woman living with them who had some sort of family connection to the lighthouse ; wherein her ancestors roamed around as ghosts ? It was a fantastic programme . I remember the cabbage baby too , that might have been the first episode I saw.

MrStateTrooper · 19/10/2018 23:40

I remember an episode where there was an enormous amount of seagull poo - still makes me a bit queasy thinking about it now!

CandleWithHair · 19/10/2018 23:42

Without my pants

theyusedtocalltheblues · 19/10/2018 23:42

Wasn’t there one where everything turned backwards or something? I vaguely remember the female character having her named changed to Adnil , Dsis called me adnil for ages (also a Linda)

DarkDarkNight · 19/10/2018 23:47

I loved that show, and the books of short stories by Paul Jennings. Everybody at my junior school was obsessed with them at the time.

DarkDarkNight · 19/10/2018 23:50

I loved Eerie Indiana as well BlackStar, I bought it on DVD years later.

it was the same actor from Hocus Pocus wasn’t it?
