You clearly have to be in a certain age demographic to remember the round the twist theme tune.

I enjoyed it, nice bit of nostalgia. Slightly older DP has absolutely no idea which show I'm talking about.

Early 20s yes Grin

CarryOnScreamingValenta · 20/10/2018 18:59

Before your time, then, Gremlins Halloween Grin

ShackUp · 20/10/2018 19:03

Ah without my pants (without my pants)

You'd have to be over 35, I reckon, without my pants

GhoulishGremlins · 20/10/2018 19:03

Grin I shall Google it..

WonkyDonk87 · 20/10/2018 19:17

Over 30 I reckon ShackUp - I'm 31 and loved the books by Paul Jennings and the programme 'without my pants' was hands down best episode (scarecrow one terrifying)

Juanbablo · 20/10/2018 19:17

I saw this advert this evening and burst into doing. Dh and dcs thought I was mad but I used to LOVE that TV show.

CupoBlood · 20/10/2018 19:19

Yes me too!!!

TalkInRiddles · 20/10/2018 19:23

@GhoulishGremlins - have you heard the word about the bird and the spider? 😂 honestly please Google this show, you won't be disappointed

Donthugmeimscared · 20/10/2018 19:24

I'm 35 and it scared me but I loved it. I Remember that wierd swimming one but what scared me the most was the one with the fox skin and the lemons.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 20/10/2018 19:26

I can hear myself say 'this is not my day',
I say what the hey....you won't believe me anyway!

Superb programme! I am mid 30s and it was one of my favourites.

Attheendofthedayitgetsdark · 20/10/2018 19:27

Aah memories-this was one of my favourite shows from childhood!

2 episodes stick in my head-one where the girls classmate started growing scales and slowly turned into a merman.....and the other where the elder kid got his ear pierced which caused him to become a magnet for rubbish/refuse

So weird...,so good!

BertieBotts · 20/10/2018 19:30

No, I'm 30 and I watched it!

When I was in year 4 the year 6 teacher got into trouble for reading us the Paul Jennings books in assembly because they were too rude :o when I got into her class and she read the for carpet time we were thrilled! And she lent the books out. They were brilliant. The programme came later I think. I do remember being utterly baffled by the story about the boy who was the last in his class to grow pubes and everyone teasing him because I had no idea what "public hair" was. I kept misreading it, not knowing the word...

BloodyDraculcasonthis · 20/10/2018 20:14

I watched the original series in 1990+91 and the 3+4 in 2000ish.

I'm 39 and remember them quite well..
Especially the cheap 90s special effects.

Amummyatlast · 20/10/2018 20:27

MaureenMLove you have just made me sing ‘bodger and badger, bodger and badger, na na na nana, na na na nana’. (Makes a change from the bloody paw patrol theme tune.)

I was cooking cheese on toast a few minutes ago. When I came back into the living room, DH had paused the TV and said that he had been taken back to his childhood. I thought ‘what is he on about’, he pressed play, and then I totally got it. I have just spent the past few minutes eating cheese on toast and googling round the twist.

Redshoeblueshoe · 20/10/2018 20:31

I'm glad I'm not the only one over 50 who loved it

Busytizzy · 20/10/2018 21:10

Was addicted to this show. The one with the fox really scared me, and I still give my wardrobe a suspicious look from time to time if I wake up during the night.

BloodyDraculcasonthis · 20/10/2018 21:13

On episode 5 of season 1...

It's just as good and just as disgusting as I recall... Rewinding spewing spaghetti .. 😂

Pinkywoo · 20/10/2018 21:20

Argh I'd forgotten about without my pants (without my pants), but the fox with no eyes and the lemons freaked me out as a child!

3boysandabump · 20/10/2018 21:27

I got so excited when I heard the theme tune and thought they were bringing it back. Was so disappointed when it turned out to be a Sainsbury's advert

purpleme12 · 20/10/2018 21:31

Yes I loved it!

BlueRabbitWasNaughty · 20/10/2018 21:32

I'm 41 and I loved it (must have been too old for it really) so introduced it to my kids, then 10 & 12 ish, and they watched them all in about two days - I was so happy they shared my dodgy taste in tv!

Budgieinaberet · 20/10/2018 22:41

This is why parents should watch TV with their kids.
My youngest is 30 and we all loved it.
When the GC come round next week I'm going to put some on. They will love it.
