You clearly have to be in a certain age demographic to remember the round the twist theme tune.

I enjoyed it, nice bit of nostalgia. Slightly older DP has absolutely no idea which show I'm talking about.

There was an episode where a boy got pregnant by the tree girl and their baby became a new tree

shakeyourcaboose · 19/10/2018 23:54

Love eerie Indiana! Have the box set- there's a season 2 'the other dimension' which am desperate to watch!

Terfzilla · 19/10/2018 23:58

Without my pants Grin Grin

I had a huge crush on Eerie Indianna

userwtf · 20/10/2018 00:03

Thought it was very weird that you had mentioned that song as I was singing it to dc today.

Until you said it was in an advert. Must have heard it too 😄

CarryOnScreamingValenta · 20/10/2018 00:06

Have strange things happened?

Are you going round the twist?

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 20/10/2018 00:06

Me and DH were singing along to the ad, and DS looked at us like Hmm - he is 18 and does not know the show. He declared that we were both old and sad.

pastabest · 20/10/2018 17:39

I wonder how it came about? I mean it's a fairly obscure children's tv theme tune from the 90s. Who sat in the Sainsburys ad debt and went 'guys I've had a great idea....'

There’s a few years between DH and I, plus he’s Australian and I’m British, so we don’t share any childhood cultural references.

When this came on the other day, we were both proper belting it out and dancing Grin

Penninepain · 20/10/2018 17:43

Yesssssss!
I loved this show and i am in my late 50's.

I looked up what had happened to all the actors, worth doing if you fancy a nosy, but sad !

Chuffingchuff · 20/10/2018 17:48

I heard it today! I told 10 year old DSD about it and she was all 🤨

CoolCarrie · 20/10/2018 17:48

I had a laugh when my ds started singing along with this today, definitely going to have a look on YouTube for the episodes!

Toddlerteaplease · 20/10/2018 17:48

I was wondering how long it would be before a thread appeared about this. One of those tubes you never forget!

IHaveBrilloHair · 20/10/2018 17:50

Oh me too!
It also makes me think of Pugwall which was Australian too.

IheartCaptainHolt · 20/10/2018 17:52

I loved Pugwall!

ARandomPoster · 20/10/2018 18:01

I loved that programme. I remember reading the book too.

RaptorInaHauntedHouse · 20/10/2018 18:11

I loved it Halloween Smile I kind of want to watch it again now.

RaptorInaHauntedHouse · 20/10/2018 18:15

Oooh it's all on youtube!

Round The Twist Channel

NorthenderNamechanger · 20/10/2018 18:21

Yessss I loved this show and read all the books. Was a bit disappointing when the theme tune came on and it was... Sainsburys, though. Wish they'd put it back on. Perhaps I'll educate DC with that YouTube channel Grin

DuggeesWoggle · 20/10/2018 18:25

Yes without my pants! No one else remembers this episode. Didn't they dig up an old skeleton and until they returned the old chap's trousers to the grave the oldest boy was destined to say 'without my pants' after everything he said! Utterly mad but it was so great. The little brother was called Bronson if I recall. Don't remember the rest.

MaureenMLove · 20/10/2018 18:32

It's great isn't it. Someone at work the other day asked me to remind her about her mashed potato in the fridge. I didn't go in to why the hell she'd bought ready made mash fgs!!!, but I did sing, 'everybody knows, badgers love MASH POTATO!' She didn't get it.

TalkInRiddles · 20/10/2018 18:45

Yeah I saw this on Sainsbury's advertbabd couldn't believe my ears.

It was such a good show. I recall Bronson having a pissing competition up a wall cos his penis had powers I think. And the pee shot over the wall. At least that's what my memory tells me.

I used to think the older lad (can't remember his name) was cute

AgnesNaismith · 20/10/2018 18:50

I had such a crush on Pugwall....floppy blonde curtains and in a band, the 90s dream!

The round the twist that sticks with me the most is where their mouths turned really tiny like bum holes.

TalkInRiddles · 20/10/2018 18:53

Can you imagine if they made the show now for kids? Probably wouldn't be allowed to show most of it

GhoulishGremlins · 20/10/2018 18:53

Never heard of Round The Twist Confused

AgnesNaismith · 20/10/2018 18:58

Then you must have never, ever felt like this GhoulishGremlins (and are probs in your 20s) Grin
