I haven't, but DP featured in a background shot in an advert.

I was in a tv programme about education years back - lots of shots of me in my classroom. (I forgot the name of one of the boys due to nerves which was very embarrassing!)
I also had Monty Roberts (the horse whisperer) sit near me when doing a show four years ago. It was filmed but wasn't shown as part of the program, but you can see dc2 and me in the audience.

akitas2 · 19/10/2018 20:47

Yes, in the background (cafe) when my best friend was on a talent show, and the tv company were filming her in her hometown. Great fun!

EggysMom · 19/10/2018 20:51

My belly has been on the telly .... Pregnancy show about eight years ago.

ConfusedMum82 · 19/10/2018 20:52

I was on TVAm many years ago singing.
DH was on a early nineties late night show which went to nightclubs. Not Hit Man and Her, it was presented by a girl desperately trying to be Dani Behr.
Our nephew was on Ayia Nappa Uncovered a few times as well in the early digital telly days.

Nottheduchessoftransiyvaniaaaa · 19/10/2018 20:52

jano69 that is such a cool claim to fame! 😂

ToastieWarm · 19/10/2018 20:52

Spend the whole day filming with the BBC for a 90 second slot. Very cringeworthy but had a lovely day nonetheless. Also my Mum was filmed humming the That's Life theme tune, whilst pregnant with me - not sure this that counts.Wink

mizu · 19/10/2018 20:58

Wilmawebb I was on John Craven's Newsround too ! Not in 1973 though, I think it was around 1982, they were doing a piece on our new conservation area at school. I wore bright red jeans my mum had put me in that morning

FairfaxAikman · 19/10/2018 21:02

I featured in a documentary for the Japanese equivalent of the BBC. It was on honey and I had to cook with it.

goingtotown · 19/10/2018 21:08

I was walking up the path to my house on a local news item, it was about lots of dog shit on the pavement on our road. I’ve never seen it but lots of people recognised me.

headinhands · 19/10/2018 21:14

The audience of one of those discussion shows where everyone's on the stage.😱

HoraceWimpIsThisYourLife · 19/10/2018 21:16

I was in the audience of Judge Rinder once.

RubiksQueen · 19/10/2018 21:17

Songs of Praise a couple of times.

I was interviewed by Andi Peters on City Hospital, I'd been up all night at work and all I could think of was how starving I was!

Ellapaella · 19/10/2018 21:27

I've been on the radio and TV. I once met Princess Anne which was filmed and on the local news. That was a strange experience, the amount of preparation that goes into having to meet Royals is extraordinary!

As a teenager I was also in a film as an extra - was standing next to main character for a few minutes in one scene. That was a whole days work for something stupid like £10 and the film was a box office flop

I actually hate being the focus of any kind of public attention. I have to public speak occasionally as part of my job and it fills me with fear. I really hate it, I get so nervous.

midsomermurderess · 19/10/2018 21:28

I was about three years old and trundling around on my tricycle in the gardens across the road from Robert Lous Stevenson's house on Heriot Row in Edinburgh. A documentary was made about him and they were filming there (there is a myth that the wee island in the pond there was part of his inspiration for Treasure Island). Apparently I am caught on film trundling by. I've never seen it.

Ellapaella · 19/10/2018 21:30

Oh and I've been on BBC 'Any questions' twice and been picked to ask my questions
These are my claims to fame!
DH gets himself in the paper and on the news a lot as part of his job. He is a great public speaker and doesn't fret about it at all.

foxyknoxy30 · 19/10/2018 21:32

Yes I once got interviewed by my local television news for an article to do with politics didn't have a clue as I was walking down Sauchiehall street and they ambushed me 😂

formerbabe · 19/10/2018 21:34

I was in the Trisha show audience!

mildshock · 19/10/2018 21:40

When I was 13 I was part of a youth drama group that made a western movie. It was really awful but good fun.

A few years later I turned on BBC2 and there was my face. It was surreal, I had no idea anyone would air it.

EightToSixer · 19/10/2018 21:41

I'm in a documentary, it was permitted at film festivals, released at cinemas, on airlines and is now on Netflix.... But I really hated seeing myself on screen, nobody should have to see themselves that big on Screen.
Also, in 1984 I was a live caller, soaking to Sylvester McCoy on a strange TV show where the caller had to end the story and they filmed that ending for the next day and a new caller did the next bit. I wish I remembered what the show was called.

VenusClapTrap · 19/10/2018 21:45

Ds was on Secret Life of Four Year Olds, and they showed me dropping him off at the beginning.

buttonup26 · 19/10/2018 21:46

Last year I was on Loose Women

FreckledNose · 19/10/2018 21:50

Basil Brush show about 1968, just a glimpse of a very excited me in the audience. Boom boom!

PawneeParksDept · 19/10/2018 21:51

I've been on 2 different quizzes but a very long time ago about 15 years, not saying which two. One of the hosts was a prick.

Was interviewed for a magazine type show with regard to a current affairs issue as a teenager, roughly 20 years ago

ohdeardeardear · 19/10/2018 21:52

Yes, I was on Question Time and was the first one to ask a question. Had an amazing time!

Bloodybridget · 19/10/2018 21:53

Was in a television ad when I was eight or nine, very exciting!
