Mine are:
ride a horse on a beach (done the horse bit, not the beach bit!!)
volunteer for the Samaritans (I love helping people)
get a camera and do some photography
volunteer/work for a dog rescue centre

I'll think of more I'm sure, but for now share with me some of yours!

@Annandale hire a boat from Laggan locks in Scotland. I think the company is Le Boat. You will never see scenery like this in your life ever again. It's the most amazing & scary thing we've ever done. You get about 10 mins training on how to drive the boat & your free. The locks are hard but it's so worth it. Best time of my life.

pleasesleepinyourownbed · 16/10/2018 22:45

It wasn't a canal boat though. I don't know what to call it. Like a huge speedboat with rooms & a little kitchen & toilets.

Get a PhD.
Shop all my food in M&S.
Write a novel (doesn’t have to be published).
Own my house outright.
Never lose contact with all my great friends and family.
Sell a painting.
Do a major walk / run / cycle - not sure which yet. So like from lands end to John ogroats or a marathon. Not sure I like the idea of a marathon... Grin
Get married. (Never been and am nearly 50!)
Do ONE amazing thing to change others lives. Also not sure what that is yet. Have lots of volunteering in my life, but want to change something, like lead a campaign.

Have been lucky enough to do so much already though! Mostly experiences and not the ‘high thrills kind’ - bugger that! Grin

slug · 17/10/2018 10:45

Run a marathon
Do a PhD

AllViewsMyOwn · 17/10/2018 11:05

Wing walking!

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 17/10/2018 11:20

Go to Japan
Learn to ride a horse
Get married (got to find someone first...)
Own the specific dog breed of my dreams (can't happen for 10-15 years as current DDog wouldn't cope)

And a stretch goal of visiting every country in the world Grin My resolve might be tested when I get to places like South Sudan, but I feel it's a good goal to have; it stops me going back to the same place twice.

Already ticked a few off my list - skydiving, owning a dog, visiting certain countries for instance.
