How many products do you put in with a wash?

On a Facebook group someone asked if her 5 products she put a photo of was too much. Now others are saying they also put 5 or more different products in the machine.

Am I missing something,? Does EVERYONE do this? I just do a laundry capsule. Unless it's maybe heavily stained/special type of wash etc.

All those chemicals will be on the clothing and it's pointless. We just use fairy non bio and everything is clean. Why expose yourself to more chemicals than is necessary ? We don't use many cleaning products really though. I damp wipe everywhere and use diluted fairy liquid to clean lots of things. Bleach in the toilets, that's about it. Our house is clean.

I put a colour catcher sheet in if I'm being a lazy cow and shoving whites and colours in together.
