I had a rotten sleep and ended up just getting up around 6am

I'm usually a great sleeper but last night, late on, someone texted me something so braggy and self absorbed I couldn't sleep for being so annoyed and angry

what's your excuse?

Couldn't get to sleep as my brain wouldn't shut up, then had a nightmare about my ex boyfriend and woke up at 5:43am and couldn't get back to sleep! So gave up in the end and took a cup of tea down to the beach to watch the sunrise (so it wasn't all bad Smile)

NakedMum33and3rd · 14/10/2018 08:53

I have a 2 week old DS. No sleep for me.

PepperSteaks · 14/10/2018 08:55

DH couldn’t sleep and kept waking me up to tell me he couldn’t sleep.

Yousignup · 14/10/2018 08:56

I am basically teetotal but last night went to a wedding anniversary and had TWO tiny glasses of wine. My stomach hurt so much... I think it might be a sulphite thing.

Kim82 · 14/10/2018 08:57

I had a very convincing nightmare around 1am that dh was being beaten up outside our front door (he was out with his friends last night). I woke with my heart thumping through my chest and had to actually get up to check. No idea where it came from, dh goes out pretty regularly and nothing has ever happened but it just seemed so realistic. It took ages for me to get back to sleep, I then woke when he came in and at that point my nose was really blocked so I couldn’t breathe properly so spent the next few hours needing to wake every 30 mins for a sip of water as my mouth was so dry. My 4 year old woke at 6.50am so I got up with her and have sat on the sofa drinking tea in my dressing gown since then...

itsjustmebeingme · 14/10/2018 08:57

My 2.5 year old didn’t nap in the day...so decided to wake up 1087424568 times during the night...because that makes sense!!!

FlamingGoat · 14/10/2018 09:00

Had a horrible anxiety dream of trying to strip my old childhood home of everything in it as we had an hour to get out. Woke up at 4.30 and couldnt get back to sleep. Caught up with the washing though! (We actually had to strip it 9 weeks ago when my Mum died and the LA wanted the house back)

Midnight0 · 14/10/2018 09:02

Couldn't fall asleep till 1am, then DH came home from work at 4am, woke me up. Then 4 year old DD decided it's time to get me out of bed at 6:45.

Skylucy · 14/10/2018 09:02

My toddler hasn't slept in her own cot for over a month. She wriggles and kicks in our bed between 1am - 5am.

I am 38 weeks pregnant.

I actually fear I will never sleep again.

SleepingBooty · 14/10/2018 09:03

Too cold then too hot. Very weird dreams.

mybumpismostlypudding · 14/10/2018 09:05

Toothache 😕 emergency appointment today though, luckily!

What was the text haha I'm curious now

Shelvesoutofbooks · 14/10/2018 09:05

I Found out DH was cheating on me and even tho I wanted to work it out, he decided to cut me out of his life and be with OW. I had a miscarriage of a very wanted baby recently too, and the anxiety was excruciating. I slept for 3 hrs.

ssd · 14/10/2018 09:05

FlamingGoat, sorry to hear about your mum Thanks..I had to clear mum's house out alone within 2 weeks of her dying as it was a LA house to, I understand your anxiety.

I found out yesterday it should say

PhysaliaPhysalis · 14/10/2018 09:08

I found a false widow spider in the windowframe Sad

Spent a while googling, found out they are passive and decided to call it Chelsea as this seems like a non-attacky kind of name. Took me ages to get to sleep.

There's a second one today though so I might have to kill them - one is OK, if a bit worrying, billions of tiny babies are not.

Cakeandmarshmallows · 14/10/2018 09:08

@Shelvesoutofbooks so sorry to hear that.

ipswichwitch · 14/10/2018 09:08

DH was out last night, and managed to wake me up clattering his way through the front door. Then, as I was drifting off to sleep again, he started snoring like a bear with rhinitis 🙄. That woke both kids up so I got them back to bed, and ended up on the pull out bed in DS1’s room because the snoring was giving me the rage. Got about an hours sleep max before the DC woke for the day at 6.45ish. They e both been chirping on about going out today - no plans to, but I might send DH to the park with them when he surfaces. That’ll sort his hangover out!

EvaGraceMummy2015 · 14/10/2018 09:09

I'm 37+3 with twins so uncomfortable anyway.. then booked for an induction at 8am this morning so anxious about that! x

Cakeandmarshmallows · 14/10/2018 09:09

My nearly 6 month old has decided that waking up every hour for feed is fun!!! And wide awake at 6! I'm now downstairs with him strapped in his door bouncer while I eat marmite toast!

PoesyCherish · 14/10/2018 09:09

That's awful @Shelvesoutofbooks Sad Flowers

I have a bad cold and I think the onset of a chest infection. Struggling to breathe and drinking lots to try and soothe my throat so also woke up to pee 3 times.

FlamingGoat · 14/10/2018 09:09

Shit isn't it.We had the funeral on the Friday and keys had to be back on the Tuesday.

So sorry to hear that Flowers

Shelvesoutofbooks · 14/10/2018 09:10

@physalia get a diffuser/oil burner and some peppermint oil and put in the room where the spiders were. It will make sure they stay outside. You can also spray it on your window frame.

Shazafied · 14/10/2018 09:11

Pregnancy bladder had me up all night then dd 10m was awake and raring to go at 5 :-(

BluthsFrozenBananas · 14/10/2018 09:11

Menopause night sweat, snoring husband, indigestion and thinking about what needs packing for DD’s residential.
