I had a rotten sleep and ended up just getting up around 6am

I'm usually a great sleeper but last night, late on, someone texted me something so braggy and self absorbed I couldn't sleep for being so annoyed and angry

what's your excuse?

@evagracemummy2015 oohh wish you all the best of luck Flowers

DonkeyPunch88 · 14/10/2018 09:12

Because DD is going through a wake up and squeal for no reason stage pretty much every two hours. She doesn't want anything and goes straight back to sleep again but it still breaks my cycle, as she's only a year and a half old I'll let her off! DP though has man flu, exactly the same bad head cold I've had for the past week but the poor lamb is practically dying Hmm

mybumpismostlypudding, it started out as a text from me to lets call her A , with general chat about a relative and how they were growing up and doing well, and it quickly went onto a discussion about how brilliant A's child is doing, which I congratulated them on, then it went onto how wonderful a time A is having in life just now and how much they are getting (from something else)...brag brag brag, my kids or life never asked about at all, just how wonderful everything is for A, when my original text wasn't actually about them...

12 week old DD was awake at 4 for a feed (can't complain though as she is only waking up once. Bracing myself for the regression next month 😩).

I then woke up at 6.30 but DD was still asleep, so I ended up expressing some milk!

Whisky2014 · 14/10/2018 09:14

Fiance kept doing this weird swallowing thing like he had a bunged up nose and was trying to clear it. I have misophonua and it made me so angry it took ages to get to sleep. 7th night if a shit sleep (because of dogs waking me up too) I am knackered.

ASqueakingInTheShrubbery · 14/10/2018 09:14

Worrying about something very difficult at work this week, too hot, DH clattering in from the pub at about 1am and DD clattering in the bathroom about 6.

Shelvesoutofbooks · 14/10/2018 09:14

@ssd I'm such a sarky fuck that I no doubt would've enthusiastically talked abour ds's amazing poos every time they tried to brag.

civicxx · 14/10/2018 09:15

@PepperSteaks why do they do that?! My boyfriend does this sometimes & I'm like great, I can, go away hahaha!

ssd · 14/10/2018 09:17

Shelvesoutofbooks, I'm sorry Sad....makes my daft wee trivia about a text look petty now...

Shelvesoutofbooks, the thing is, I never boast or brag about my kids and I'm generally happy for others when their kids do well......but A made it all about her and what shes getting out of her kids achievement, when actually she gets enough already

FlamingGoat it is indeed utter shit.

I haven't slept properly for years. Having 2 children with sen means my mind feels to full all the time.

Shelvesoutofbooks · 14/10/2018 09:27

@ssd I know what you mean, I had a friend like that, it was really annoying. Best to steer clear of any DC conversations in the future

DiaryofWimpyMum · 14/10/2018 09:30

I'm menopausal but my doctor thinks I'm too young, so I've to wait 6 weeks and if I'm still waking drenched in sweat every 2 hours I've to call back! Ugh 😑

ssd · 14/10/2018 09:31

A only talks about her child, she is living her life through him and what hes achieving....and bragging about constantly on fb.....when I texted them it wasn't to discuss our kids, it was to discuss a distant relatives kids but the conversation turned to them straightaway

best to give them a wide berth for the foreseeable.....

DH went out to the rugby yesterday. Which was fine. But came home steaming at 6 to ‘help’ out DS to bed. Spent the whole evening stinking of booze, hiccuping and farting and refusing to go to bed. Asked me 500 times if I was OK, then when he finally did go to bed he snored so loudly he woke DS up. After a lot of cuddles, milk and stories I got to sleep from 2:30 - 5:30 next to DS on the floor 🤦‍♀️

Violetroselily · 14/10/2018 09:38

Think I must have woken up around 10 times through worrying about something at work. My mind just cannot switch off at the moment and anxiety is through the roof.

vampirethriller · 14/10/2018 09:42

Bad reflux, 37 weeks pregnant and had to wee roughly 34,000 times, horizontal rain hitting the window and then bloody magpies at 6am.

MrsVietor · 14/10/2018 09:42

Because I'm having a horrible time at work and every time I wake up, it's sitting there like a rock in my stomach.

Misen · 14/10/2018 09:45

I met a guy at a party and had a one night stand. I’m very newly single so it was definitely too soon, but this morning, I really didn’t give a fuck Grin Has been many, many years since I last did the walk of shame but I definitely strutted my arse home Wink

Stormwhale · 14/10/2018 09:45

Early pregnancy insomnia, combined with vivid dreams when I did sleep.

TokyoSushi · 14/10/2018 09:47

We're having a bit of a nightmare house move, we had the valuation for our buyers mortgage done on Friday and waiting to hear if it's ok, I feel utterly sick Sad

Asmallrole · 14/10/2018 09:54

Because I didnt sleep well the night before due to the bunged up nose/sore throat/dry mouth thing. So I decided to take the dog upstairs for a hours nap at 2.30pm and we were both out for the count until 5.20. Oops.
So I was wide awake watching netflix until 2am, tossing and turning til 3, DH got up for early shift at 5.30, DD up for work at 7.30, out walking the dog at 8.
Must not nap today.

BearSoFair · 14/10/2018 10:07

The cat kept trampling over me. No apparent reason, just wanted to check I was awake I think Hmm

CormoranStrike · 14/10/2018 10:09

I slept well last night, the night before I was hyper - I had ha lemonade late at night, then a puppy jumped on my face.
