Can this please be a pleasant thread? If you don't give a toss then please move on. I'm interested to see what sort of dress she wears. I'd love to see her in something that really reflects her character & I'm hoping for something with a bit of detail & not too plain.

The bride looked beautiful, the groom looked very happy albeit nervous (who wouldn't be with cameras on you). Princess Beatrice was oddly dressed for a bridesmaid or was she not one? She looked lovely but not bridesmaid lovely?

Also, I noticed Meghan had a very Foley long coat on. I wonder if there's an announcement due now the wedding is over.

Haven’t seen Lady Louise again, really hope she’s ok

She was sitting next to Zara during the service.

WWYDhelpplease · 12/10/2018 14:33

I think she looks beautiful and I much prefer her dress to Meghan’s and probably Kate’s

Bob Geldofs daughter Pixie takes the prize for worst outfit, she is rocking the Barbara Cartland look!

I thought Pixie Geldof looked stunning and has her own style. On anyone else it probably would have looked Barbara Cartlandesque but I think she carried if off very well. She has a handsome husband too.

mumof2sarah · 12/10/2018 14:38

I loved every last bit of this wedding. Her dress was stunning... my most favourite dress up to date for a royal wedding. I love how loved up they were. Rest of the royals and his family looked really lovely too, I loved the reading and the singing. Honestly very impressed. Hope everyone's being positive on the thread op xx

cheese I thought Savannah and Isla Phillips looked utterly adorable. What gorgeous girls!

DCIVivDeering · 12/10/2018 14:39

David Emanuel (who designed Diana's dress) was very underdressed. Looked like he was just going to the office.

Whisky2014 · 12/10/2018 14:39

The party will be amazing. I want to be a fly on the wall there!

lalalalyra · 12/10/2018 14:42

I'm still loving the tiara.

I do love it when HM breaks out an oldie for someone to use. There are some gems hidden in those vaults.

kenandbarbie · 12/10/2018 14:46

I would have preferred if she wore a veil, but I loved the dress and tiara. Better than Meghan's was, but I still preferred Kate's.

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/10/2018 14:46

Here's the background story on Eugenie's tiara. I can't believe it's been in the family for over 70 years yet no one had worn it until today!

Loopytiles · 12/10/2018 14:49

Love the tiara, earrings, hair, make up and bouquet, the neck and backline of the dress, but disliked the collar, material (brocade-ish) and skirt/bow type thing.

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/10/2018 14:50

@kenandbarbie I think they all wore dresses best suited to them. A bateau-neck column dress like Meghan's would've been very unflattering on Eugenie's curvier figure, and Eugenie's very full skirt and long train would've swamped Meghan as she's so petite. And we all know Kate loves her lace frocks so her wedding dress was a hint of things to come!

artemisdubois · 12/10/2018 14:53

Didn't they just look so wonderfully happy (if nervous at times)? Eugenie's dress might be my favourite royal wedding dress ever - dramatic but classic and demure, and the fit was perfection. Kate and Meghan both looked stunning on their days, but Eugenie was a real princess bride.

Her makeup and hair were also beautifully done. The tiara was breathtaking - emeralds were a lovely choice.

Beatrice looked beautiful, too, but I hope her very simple choice of dress and headwear was because it was what she wanted to wear, rather than being afraid to be criticised for wearing something a little more special.

I hope my fiancé looks as happy to see me on our wedding day as Jack did when he saw Eugenie. Very touching.

princessbear80 · 12/10/2018 14:54

Anyone know if Kate’s shoes were the same ones she wore on her solo trip to the V&A earlier in the week?

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/10/2018 14:54

I think they were, burgundy velvet Jimmy Choos.

The whole thing with Lady Louise reminds me of when my niece was around the same age and dropped a massive plate full of nibbles on the floor at a family party - the poor kid was mortified.

chocatoo · 12/10/2018 14:55

I thought Fergie looked lovely too. Nice that her green outfit matched the green in the tiara. Thought she pitched it just right. Felt a bit sad that Andrew didn’t show a bit more affection towards her.

You have to wonder what other pieces there are from the Greville bequest that haven't been seen yet

VanCleefArpels · 12/10/2018 14:57

Thought Euj looked fabulous, natural, appropriate and most of all happy and relaxed.

One thing though....
What was the print on the bridesmaids/pageboys sashes all about? Didn’t go with colour scheme (emerald? Royal blue?) and just looked a bit odd to me

Courtney555 · 12/10/2018 14:58

She looked beautiful, properly beautiful. In a way that most weren't anticipating. I'm not a massive fan of the royals, but she was truly a stop and stare beauty today.

Kate looked better on her big day, but I would say only by a small margin, which when you compare how polished she always looks and how Eugenie doesn't, is testament to just how well E pulled it out of the bag today.

Markle on her big day? Jesus christ. You have to wonder if her dress designer even liked her Grin

lalalalyra · 12/10/2018 14:59

The print on the sashes was something to do with artwork on the order of service apparently.

JacquesHammer · 12/10/2018 15:00

Well it’s unpleasantly clear you don’t. Why the use of her surname when you call the other two brides under discussion by their first name?

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/10/2018 15:00

@chocatoo I wondered that too, especially as they're supposed to be such good friends. Certainly they were pictured at Ascot earlier this year looking very close.
