What are we all up to this Sunday?

Nosey thread.

What is everyone doing today?

We "camped" downstairs last night.
Every Saturday, we lug the matress and the quilts downstairs and spend the evening watching family films.
So this morning, i changed all the sheets, took everything back upstairs and have scrubbed all the bedrooms and bathroom.

I'm still in my PJs though. Did the kids a ham salad sandwich each for dinner (im northern. Its dinner not bloody lunch)
And now im debating what to eat. Ive no ham left and no money until tomorrow... i have cheese but don't think i fancy cheese...

I love camping nights like that with the dc.

We are on day 1 of a holiday In Italy. Airline lost ds2’s high back booster so we have been out and got a new one stocked up on wine and food supplies and trying to recover from a loooong journey of delays and everything taking hours. Dc are just in the site pool enjoying the sun and having a quiet day.

OddestSock · 07/10/2018 12:46

The kids each had a friend for a sleepover. The 4 kids are playing some imaginary sweet shop day. Only one is dressed.

I’m occasionally required to make snacks or look at something. I should do sleepovers more often.

Magik1 · 07/10/2018 12:46

Ah camping with films, sounds like a perfect Saturday night.
Just finished most of the housework and waiting for another wash to finish then we’re just going to the cinema to see A Star is Born. Bit of Bradley Cooper on Sunday afternoon Grin
Then home to iron / get ready for another week.

ASqueakingInTheShrubbery · 07/10/2018 12:46

Playing Yeti in the Spaghetti. Going for a walk in a country park after lunch.

IndigoSpritz · 07/10/2018 12:47

Just back from a drive and Costa. After lunch there's piano practice to be done, laundry in, washing up, up to Morrison's then piano again. Pub before dinner this evening.

HerRoyalFattyness · 07/10/2018 12:51

cricketmum84 · 07/10/2018 12:56

Well we are all dressed so we are doing better than last Sunday!
I am reading a trashy magazine.
14yo is playing some awful shooty game on the Xbox and all I can hear is bloody bang bang bang!
9 yo is desperate to play out with her school friend who is still at Sunday football. She has asked me if their car is back on the drive eleventy billion times since 10am.
DH is sterilising bottles ready to bottle his homemade mixed berry cider. I am chief taster! I do wish he would hurry up Grin

LooksBetterWithAFilter · 07/10/2018 12:56

DieAntword · 07/10/2018 13:01

Husband left a on a business trip so I’m just lazing around while kids watch tv. I’ll start being good tomorrow. Totes for real this time.

gemdrop84 · 07/10/2018 13:01

We have been to a comic con and now having a Mcdonalds- I'm slightly hungover so will be going home soon to my pyjamas and studying/ironing/snoozing.

Nquartz · 07/10/2018 13:07

Playing play doh, DH is doing something electrical so we don't have any power. Great excuse to turn the TV off & do other stuff.
It's sunny but chilly here so might suggest a walk to the park in a bit

HerRoyalFattyness · 07/10/2018 13:11

Sleepingbunnies you need Gin not Wine Grin

cricketmum84 ooh sounds yummy! Can i come round?

DieAntword yeah, I'll be good tomorrow too...honest.

I enjoy it too, we don't get it out often (we tend to forget we have it) but when we do we end up playing for hours. It's very therapeutic

IndigoSpritz · 07/10/2018 13:18

Sorry, Fattyness. There'll be another day for your pub trip. BTW, I'm also northern and my midday meal is 'lunch'.

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 07/10/2018 13:20

DH is making roast pork dinner by using every item in the entire kitchen. I can't even go in there without seizing up in crossness at the mess he makes as he cooks. He's also watching loud sports on the tv, and another type of sport on his phone, whilst also spreading newspapers all over the kitchen table pretending to read and swearing at the cats for attempting to lick the pork.

I've been out with the DC to the park which sounds straightforward and lovely but the dog ran into the rat-infested canal, a rat actually ran across DS2's foot, the dog eventually left the canal covered in black slime, furious that her fun had been prematurely ended, DS2 is now in need of counselling for the rat-foot incident so is wrapped in a blanket watching cartoons and whimpering about weils disease.

The dog has had to be jet-washed with baby shampoo (no dog shampoo) and has gone absolutely batshit trying to eat the hairdryer as I tried to dry her off. She's now sat in the laundry room with the heating turned up full-whack to try and dry off.

DS1 is in his room after collecting 74,000 conkers at the park and googling ways to make them invincible for his battles with friends. He appeared downstairs asking for a drill earlier and was told that he was never allowed to touch drills til he's 57, so I fully expect he'll have snuck one up there before the day is over.

I am exhausted after the dog-rat-park-washing nonsense so am lying on the big sofa trying to pretend that our family isn't 500% idiotic and contemplating opening the bottle of Amaretto a friend delivered this week.

gingajewel · 07/10/2018 13:20

We have just been for a walk and now have put my toddler down for a nap and my eldest has gone to a party. Her dad has taken her so I am going to have a few hours relaxing! When they get back I am making sausage and mash for tea and sorting out uniform/nursery clothes/ work clothes for tomorrow.

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 07/10/2018 13:21

Christ that's an essay. LTDR; Pork, rats, blankets, dogs, amaretto.

HerRoyalFattyness · 07/10/2018 13:21

IndigoSpritz nooooooo... dinner!

Been at a Tae Kwando meet with the children all morning. No injuries and no tears, so that's a success.

Child one is now doing homework, child two is on a tablet and I am farting about on the internet working. Husband is out kayaking. We might watch a movie while I do the ironing later.

gemdrop84 · 07/10/2018 13:28

I'm a student mental health nurse, in my second year and have a lot of reading/assignments this year so planning to try and keep ahead/on top of it all.
