Nosey thread.

What is everyone doing today?

We "camped" downstairs last night.
Every Saturday, we lug the matress and the quilts downstairs and spend the evening watching family films.
So this morning, i changed all the sheets, took everything back upstairs and have scrubbed all the bedrooms and bathroom.

I'm still in my PJs though. Did the kids a ham salad sandwich each for dinner (im northern. Its dinner not bloody lunch)
And now im debating what to eat. Ive no ham left and no money until tomorrow... i have cheese but don't think i fancy cheese...

Working, at home though, have a deadline of tomorrow on something and my workload just hasn’t allowed me to get the work done. Sat on a pile of cushions on the floor with four lever arch files all over the place, a cup of tea and one of my favourite playlists on the go.

Dinner is in the slow cooker (which I am not a massive fan of but needs must).

Need to get up and find my laptop charger.

HerRoyal he has SEN and struggles with the sessions - and the service - so misbehaves (he apparently pushed another child last week, though TBH if that's the first time in 2 years they are getting off lightly compared to us/school).

They won't make any adjustments (which would make the sessions less boring/more accessible and the service less overwhelming. And they won't let us try to bring our (funded) 1:1 with us, which is what works for him at school.

drspouse · 07/10/2018 16:15

(They have said reluctantly, oh you can bring him to church. But as we spend a lot of each service outside with him and they don't make any adjustments to the service or anything else, that's not really an answer).

Run for the hills drspouse. Any church that reacts that way is not one to associate with. Look for an all inclusive church.

We've baked brownies that turned out badly (recently gluten free so experimenting). Done some laundry, had lunch, done homework and baths and now just chilling before cooking dinner.

drspouse · 07/10/2018 16:46

Easier said than done, chips!

HerRoyalFattyness · 07/10/2018 16:52

drspouse Sad poor boy.
And poor you. It must cause such worry and stress.
I'm autistic and i know my mum would have been heartbroken if i wasnt allowed somewhere because i struggled with it!

Pissed the likes of Vandal off by going out and doing shopping today Wink. Popped into parents' and ended up being fed. Result! Now home to find everyone else gone to their cousins so I've done some baking, am arsing about on the sofa watching Steptoe reruns and trying to get Rockcat 1 interested in playing with me.

Lazy day here! DDs have stayed in their pjs all day, I'm lounging about in my yoga pants and hoodie.

We have largely been watching movies and hunkering down in front of the fire.

DP has done a few errands and I have a roast in the oven. We have to be up super early and doing useful things all week (DP and I are face lifting the kitchen) so today has been lovely.

Dodging the heat
It’s been 32 plus every day but today a cooling breeze
Still blooming hot though
Going to begin the crawl for food shortly

Leisurely morning drinking coffee, then DH cooked a big breakfast. Took DDog to the dog park for an hour then home. She and DH are napping. I am reading and checking out MN. Lazy day.

Crunchymum · 07/10/2018 17:55

5yo is ill (cough, cold but has also been puking) so we've had a very lazy day.

I'm on medication that means I'm immunosupressed so I'm bound to get the bug as well Sad

Take away for dinner as I'm too tired to cook, have been up since 5am.

Will bath the other kids, thankfully I did all the ironing yesteday and then probably a film before bed.

PlatypusPie · 07/10/2018 18:14

I am grouchy because it is a lovely day out there and I have a cold. I don’t seem to get colds much anymore but this is a more than a sniffle. Whinge.

120 (yes, I counted) onion sets planted. Picked apples. Now waiting for fruit press to arrive so that I can make cider.

Tiggles · 07/10/2018 21:59

This morning I took a harvest festival service with gifts to be donated to the foodbank.
This afternoon we put up a punchbag for youngest DS.
Then fed the homeless in the evening.
Before sitting down to eat pancakes and watch Dr Who.

drspouse so sorry to hear that. I hope you can find a more friendly church. I had to leave one (before I was a vicar) as they couldn't cope with my children, the two eldest have SEN.

happypotamus · 07/10/2018 22:21

Worked a 13hr shift, left home at 6.30am and got back at about 9.30pm. Just eaten a reheated Sunday dinner, now going to make DD's packed lunch for tomorrow, empty the dishwasher and sort out the washing before bed.
