Mine is as follows:

I have NEVER seen the rocky horror show.

I don't get any of the references when people go on about it....

Yours please

I have a completely different life in my head. I love the chance to have a 5 minute day dream session

Hideandgo · 21/09/2018 09:58

I used to mix up dinosaurs and dragons in terms of which was real.

Sometimes I cut a nob if butter off the block when doing the kids toast and sneakily eat it. Sometimes I even insist they have toast so I can do it.

Hideandgo · 21/09/2018 09:59

1forsorrow, do you actually sit down and spend time living your other life in your head for a few minutes? Sounds glorious. I occasionally do that pretending I’ve won the lotto but maybe I could get a bit more creative!

teddyclown · 21/09/2018 11:01
...always find Wierd Al entertaining!
AHoleInTheWorld · 21/09/2018 14:05

I thought unicorns were real until I was 11 or 12.

I was born with a mild hearing problem that I don't tell people about. The things I incorrectly hear are often funnier then what was actually said.

The Beatles and Topshop are both Hugely overrated.

TrashPanda · 21/09/2018 14:13

I don't like Beyonce, I find most of her songs hard to listen to. I find the photo shoots cringy and her husband dresses like an overgrown toddler, I don't understand how she can find that attractive.

Agentornika · 21/09/2018 14:15

I didn't know narwhals were real until recently....I'm 44

MaMisled · 21/09/2018 14:17

I'm in my 50s and just found out that prunes are plums and that red green yellow orange peppers are the same thing at different stages of ripeness.

FunSponges · 21/09/2018 14:25

"always find Wierd Al entertaining!"

Weird Al is hilarious! His versions on the songs are often better. 'White and Nerdy' was a favourite of mine.

Sweettoothfairy · 21/09/2018 14:30

Sorry, I was just having my 5 minute day dream.
That big slice of cake I’ve eaten won’t make me fat
The plumber HAS turned up and managed to find the elusive problem with the shower that has been leaking on the ceiling for 3 years.
I have watched the Wizard of Oz to the end and really enjoyed it.
I’ve done all the housework and am wondering do I have time to put my feet up?
Now back to reality. What are your 5 minute daydreams.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 21/09/2018 14:38

Up until I was about 9 and my mum would take me to my nans. I always used to wonder why the bus destination never said
'Spiders nans'Grin

A bit macarb but I also used to think Bodies were actually squashed up and buried inside the headstone. Blush

Enigmam · 21/09/2018 14:48

I'm not passionate about anything, don't really form strong opinions on political/world issues and would say I'm indifferent.

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 21/09/2018 15:07

I also have a different life in my head. I think about it all the time. The problem is when come out of my reverie I feel quite sad to discover it's not true!

SecretWitch · 21/09/2018 15:16

I like books and cats more than I like people (although I adore my family)
I don’t cook and don’t foresee that I ever will
I never answer the door, unless I know exactly who it is
And damn it, I own a loo brush

Fadingmemory · 21/09/2018 15:17

Game of Thrones?

ladybee28 · 21/09/2018 15:19

that red green yellow orange peppers are the same thing at different stages of ripeness WHAAAAT?! No way!!

tccat · 21/09/2018 15:53

Well this isn't the thread I thought it would be...I came on to tell an embarrassing story about my Ben wa balls but will just slink off again

delphguelph · 21/09/2018 15:55

I hate tea. Ugh.

mydogishot · 21/09/2018 16:25

I honestly believe that moths are made of dust.
They just disintegrate.

MenopausalMargaret · 21/09/2018 16:25

I had a fairly serious boyfriend when I was 18 and the night before I went to university we had a romantic dinner and DTD (parents out). After he'd gone home I went up the road to say goodbye to my childhood mate and shagged him as well Blush

DuggeesWoggle · 21/09/2018 17:55

I also have an alternative life in my head. In it, I'm single again (perhaps DH & DS dies in a car crash - not that I actually want them to of course, just for the purposes of the daydream) and I move to a windswept Scottish island and hook up with a rugged fisherman with a West Coast accent and a nice collection of fair isle sweaters Blush

dontbesillyhenry · 21/09/2018 19:47

Some of these are so funny 😂

Nothisispatrick · 21/09/2018 19:52

I don’t like David Bowie or Prince’s music. I had never really given them much attention as they were both before my time, but when they died and their music was everywhere I realised I don’t actually like it at all! I never told DP this and just went along with it.

We went to a wedding with a David Bowie tribute act which everyone loved, while I was Confused.

Dontgotheredailyhate · 21/09/2018 20:50

I have a crush on a female colleague that I have lingering stares at way too much and a male colleague who feels like my brain's soul mate. He and I have an exciting shared vision of something very niche. We had plans for something separately before we had even spoken for the first time and the plans have aligned perfectly. The mental spark between us when we are just working is ridiculous. Intelligence is such an attractive quality.

She's not come out and I've always thought I was straight but occasionally wondered. He's married and I would never date a married man.

And I would never date a colleague anyway.

Bluntness100 · 21/09/2018 20:54

Ive never watched strictly come dancing and genuinely can't understand why anyone would.
