Taking a break from work...how cool is 'Kashuo Ishiguro' especially with 'Sir' Prefix

Always thought 'Isambard Kingdom Brunel' was quite something. Almost as if there will be no room big enough to fit his entire persona. Why hasn't this name ever appeared in the baby names section, they're always looking for something unique

What other names do you know that just make you sit back and think WOW! (in a good way not in a 'Chardonaye' kind of way ifyswim).

I used to 'collect' the more outré names listed in the credits of American programmes.

My favourite was Pembroke J Herring. Apparently the J is for Jared.

I wanted to use Belisarius as one of our boys' names but was overruled by the Ultimate Authority.

One of the police TV programmes - might be Police Interceptors - features Gary Panther. I just love the juxtaposition of those names!

And who can forget Bradley Walsh's reaction to, the rather unfortunately named to British ears, Fanny Chmelar ?

I came across the name Edryd Goodspeed a few years ago. Only a teenager but what a name! I hope he goes on to great things.

Are you sure it wasn’t Marina Stepanova Bear? She’s a Russian hurdler (and one of the names used in the Question of Sport name round last week)
