I can't see many people loosing sleep over this, karma comes in different ways to bite you on the bum.

The IVA can't make them use her husband's income to pay back the debts, but I believe it can be taken into account in assessing how much money the family need to be left with in order to live. So if his income wasn't available to maintain the children, more of hers would be needed and less of it would be available to pay back the debts.

She has an awful long term health condition which may effect her judgement and the way she processes ideas

Her epilepsy would have had to cause major brain damage to prevent her understanding when her lawyers told her that (a) Jack Munroe had an unassailable case and (b) she could resolve it all by paying £5K. She's never claimed that she suffered major brain damage, indeed she would probably be furious if anyone suggested it.

Do all creditors have to agree to an IVA? Could one of them still go ahead with a bankruptcy petition?

You can have an illness and be an unpleasant person. Katie is clearly both. There are a lot of people who make a living out of their 'controversial'opions but manage to stay out of trouble.

If you have poor impulse control and nothing nice to say Twitter is not the place for you.

Katie could have apologised but she is the sort of person who never admits she is wrong even when she knows she is.

I feel sorry for her kids. This must have an impact on them even if they are not being made destitute they will have to leave their home.

I wonder what Katie's husband is like and if he tries to stop her doing stuff like this.

I think Hopkins got what she deserved. Not really buying Jack's fakey concern about her though. Jack was clearly dying to post on twitter about it, then tried to make out how sad the situation was to avoid the gloating look.

Jack Monroe seems to be enjoying this quite a lot. I don’t understand how she got to approve someone else’s debt management plan if she is not a creditor? I thought she had been paid and it was lawyers that were owed still.

I think the whole thing is sad, not particularly for Katie but her children who have continually been dragged through the media and now have people revelling in this latest storm which Jack created on twitter.

This was easily avoided if she'd just apologised to Munroe and retracted her libellous statements but her hubris got in the way.

What wonderful news, that woman is a complete cretin. She has finally been served a little Karma. Good on Jack for standing her ground, Katie is a disgrace and a bully and she has finally been taken doen a peg or two.
